And the Patriots who now get a compensatory pick. They are playing a level above every other franchise. I hate them.

It's probably about the value of a 7th round compensatory pick they will get/the Eagles will lose. None of us really know as the compensatory pick formula is not public.

According to OvertheCap.com, the Patriots can currently expect fourth- and fifth-round compensatory draft picks.

I'd read on Twitter (can't remember by who) that it would be the 2nd to last comp pick in the 7th round

So who knows

And the Gillislee owners can breathe a sigh of relief.

I wonder what the Patriots would have done with Blount/Gillislee/Burkhead/White/Lewis?

Blount was never going to sign the tender, per reports.

biggest crock of **** in all of sports the greedy owners refuse to pay their help or low ball them .... then someone pays them market and the team that refused to pay them or pay then peanuts gets rewarded for being cheap. A far better way is allowing teams to slap a tender and then the team that signs player gets them and the team that lost gets a lesson on perils of being overly frugal. Just add an 8th round to the draft if the union wants more players drafted and be done with it . The idea of the maggot patriots profiting from offering a guy that scored 18 TDs last season 1.1 million is sickening especially when the idiot commish making 20 or 30 times.
The current labor deal hailed as a great deal was a boondoggle .

Forget selling Blount, I'm using this an opportunity to unload Gillislee for big bucks (no whammies)!

Gotta agree with CC above. The comp pick system is a load of crock. Why do teams get rewarded for not paying players?

So, does Blount in Philly make him an RB1, RB2, RB3, Flex, or Bye/Injury fill in? I have him on a roster & I'm trying to decide if I should keep or trade him?

I like him as my RB3 or part of an RB2 by committee. 200+ carries and close to 10 TDs seems very attainable, but week to week he is going to have a low-floor with Sproles and the other little guys taking all the passing downs.

Best case scenario you get a "M. Turner at his peak", mid RB1 type year out of him.
Worst case scenario is you get a "L. Blount in every season except the last" type of season from him.
Reality is somewhere in between probably, high flex or low RB2. Worth more in standard or carry bonus leagues than PPR obviously.
