Top Buy Targets

Postby DinoDynasty » Tue May 16, 2017 6:16 am

Who are you targeting this offseason that you believe is undervalued?

Guys I'm looking to acquire given their perceived value. These aren't flashy names, but players who could be every week WR&RB2/3 starters.

Quincy Enunwa - His value has risen a bit because of reports stating he will be the #1 option, which I agree with, but you should still be able to get him for an early 2nd, given the Jets disaster offense. I think he has WR2 upside, actually.

Ameer Abdullah - He was much cheaper before the draft, but recently acquired him for 2.6 (Zay) and someone has to run the ball in Detroit. I feel comfortable using him as a flex going into the season.

John Brown - Very talented receivers, with diminishing competition for targets around him. His value has fallen off a cliff due to his sickle cell illness and thus lack of production. I like buying assets that lose value for non-football reasons. As long as he is healthy, he should have mid WR2 upside, and can be had had for a 2nd.

Manny Sanders - 3 top 20 seasons, and now he has an OC who loves to air it out. I acquired him for 2.8 and Malcolm Mitchell. Great buy low for a team that plans to compete. If you think DT's price is low, Sanders is even lower.

Willie Snead - If he wasn't an UDFA, we would be talking about him as as a top 25 dynasty receiver after putting up two 70/900 seasons in his first two years, not WR40. Given the offense he is in, and the lose of Cooks, I expect him to improve on his WR31 position and break into the top 20-25. His price is on the rise, but you can still easily get him for a late 1st or less in this draft, and at 24 I'd rather invest in him then someone who won't be startable for another year or so.

Joe Williams (R) - He is being drafted in the mid to late 3rd round, and I think he has a much better opportunity to get a some early carries ahead of other RBs being draft ahead of him such as McNichols, Gallman, and Connor. He is my #7 RB in this draft class.

Perriman/Wallace -Someone is going to have to catch the ball in Baltimore. At their prices, why not buy both!

I like your list.. I'll add a couple., while trying to stay unbiased because I've had to buy low on most of my players.

DOUG BALDWIN- I've stated elsewhere, back to back top 15 seasons and nothing has changed in SEA.

Julius Thomas- reunited with ole Gase where Thomas put up some big numbers

Brashad Perriman- wide open lane to take over as the number one option in BAL

Todd Gurley- he will bring back his initial value with a new regime

Isaiah Crowell- team is improving around him and doesn't have much competition

Desean Jackson- it's going to be fun watching that offense this year

Amari Cooper- will join the conversation as the number one asset by seasons end

People are all over Perriman and Wallace in BAL, but also Dennis Pitta. Flacco loves his reliable middle of the field guys, and Pitta will be a target monster if his hip stays healthy.

Any love for Maxx Williams or Darren Waller? Or is this still Pitta's spot to lose?

Gillislee is a great buy and value. If he picks up a majority of the work left behind by Blount, he could have a great season. Buying for any 2nd.

I think Pitta is the starter as long as he's healthy.

Isaiah Crowell - Duke pretty much proved he is just a pass catcher, and Crowell got plenty of carries when the Browns were still in games. They should be improved, and on paper, their O-line is pretty good.

Eric Ebron - All the talk was that they might go after Howard, Engram or Everett in the draft, but they did not. Ebron had a really good year outside of TDs, and he's improved each year. Not saying he's going to be a Top 7 guy, but he's cheap and is going to be borderline TE1.

Aaron Jones - I love this kid, and he's basically free.
