Re: Top Buy Targets
I think Alshon is a solid buy, based on how some people around here are valuing him. Last year was a complete dumpster fire with the terrible offense, QB / coaching staff phasing him out, and obviously the injuries. But he was graded as a top10 WR each of the previous 2 seasons by PFF, and he's been an elite producer in the past.
He's only 27, just got paired with a promising young QB in a pass-first offense, and is on a 1-year prove-it deal. Even if you don't buy into him long-term because of his injuries, I really believe his value is going to increase significantly over the next 6 months once he hits the field.
I also think T. Pryor can be a decent buy-low as he seems to be valued as a WR #3. He was WR #20 last year in a pathetic offense with a pathetic QB. Now he's in Washington with a much better QB and much better offense, and he's still only 28 years old.

Doug Martin...People are often naturally attracted to immediate production, which lowers his 'value'...the 3 week suspension should be worth the wait.

I'm gonna say Hyde here. I already thought he was a decent buy predraft but now with the Joe Williams hype train going he could be had at a screaming discount
If, and I do realize that's a big if he stays healthy, he will be the starter and has immense upside.

Re: Top Buy Targets
ARob's pricetag has gone down. I acquired him for 1.02 after Fournette was picked at 1.01. Even if he's "only" at the 200pt mark (0.5ppr) he's in a contract year, only 23, and fingers crossed could end up on a better team, or with a better QB in 2018.
The time to buy Wallace and Perriman was before the NFL Draft when everyone thought Baltimore would end up with Davis or Ross. If you can get 'em free/cheap, awesome, but most owners are aware at this point that they have value.
If AP dies which is a likely scenario IYAM, the time to gamble on Ingram is now. There's no doubt that Kamara is a great athlete, but he won't be an every down back. If AP pulls an Arian Foster, Ingram could climb again. I can't imagine he would cost much right now if you're looking to gamble.

I don't think he's going to get 140+ targets in Philly, nor will Torrey Smith be drawing a lot of coverage. So I don't think he can afford to have any injuries in 2017 if he's going to be a fantasy producer.

Re: Top Buy Targets
He didn't really have anyone of consequence drawing coverage away from him for either of the past two years either, his 16 game pace last year was ~70-1100-3 on 120 targets, sure the TDs are a bit low but for a wr2 those really aren't bad numbers and his 2015 pace was even better, Wentz is arguably a better qb than either Hoyer or Cutler so it's not hard to see those numbers go up either and CW had a little over 600 pass attempts last year so it's not a stretch to see Alshon getting 140 targets considering how much better he is than the other WRs on that teamSterling Archer wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 7:35 amHe missed a lot of games in 2015 and his 2016 wasn't very impressive. I could easily see him getting 120 targets for 80-1200-5 next year which are solid numbers for a WR2 with the upside of 95-1450-8 (his 2015 pace for 16 games)

Re: Top Buy Targets
A 67% catch rate is extremely unlikely. And I don't know if Wentz will support 15 ypc. I certainly don't see any 95 rec upside on that offense. Too many mouths to feed. Wentz loves him some Ertz. People forget that Torrey Smith was pretty productive all four years in Baltimore. And Matthews is a good slot WR. I think 120 target is about right for Jeffrey, but I'm thinking he'll be closer to 72/1000/5 which you can easily get from someone else much cheaper like Wallace or Marvin Jones.StableOfRBs wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 8:34 amHe didn't really have anyone of consequence drawing coverage away from him for either of the past two years either, his 16 game pace last year was ~70-1100-3 on 120 targets, sure the TDs are a bit low but for a wr2 those really aren't bad numbers and his 2015 pace was even better, Wentz is arguably a better qb than either Hoyer or Cutler so it's not hard to see those numbers go up either and CW had a little over 600 pass attempts last year so it's not a stretch to see Alshon getting 140 targets considering how much better he is than the other WRs on that teamSterling Archer wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 7:35 amHe missed a lot of games in 2015 and his 2016 wasn't very impressive.
