Sadly for me, I'd say Perine. I love Rob Kelley. I do think that the only downside to Perine is that pedigree seems to count for less in Washington than some teams.

Perine for me, but it's close enough that I'd take Hunt if I already had Ware.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Yeah, this. I find it hilarious that anyone is saying that someone in the freaking Arena-league Big 12 faced a higher level of competition than someone in the MAC.

Yep. He's the better back WITH a quicker path to production.

Are you two actually trying to argue the MAC has a higher level of competition than the Big XII? That's hilarious. Every player in the MAC would have accepted a scholarship to play in any Big XII school had they received one.

That said I can see the argument for either player. I'll default to draft capital on this one as I think both players were undervalued predraft, especially Hunt.

I will admit i did a double take on that too. I know the Big12 is awful defensively (as is a lot of college football), but i dont thknk i have ever heard the argument the MAC is better as a conference. Even if we are just talking defense. Are we saying OU would not average 50+ pts there? Stoops likes to run it up too. Then again CMU did beat Ok St. last year, sort of, officially. I do think Hunt would have been a good rb in the Big12 though, he has some talent. I like Perine more, but i could see Hunt having a better fantasy future in ppr since Reid likes to use his backs in the passing game and Washington seems to utilize Thompson a lot.

Agreed. As talents go, I'm not high on either one of them. I guess it comes down to which situation can be topped the easiest, which would lean me towards Perine.

It was hyperbole. Big 12 defenses are absolutely wretched, and it makes the level-of-competition argument kinda pointless.

The Chiefs love Hunt, using three picks to get him—the one with which they selected him, and the two they traded. They didn't do that because they are in love with Spencer Ware. I like Perine, a lot, but will roll with Hunt—in PPR—because he is a three down guy who figures to be a 50-plus catch guy in the Andy Reid offense. —Best, Steve

This, Andy traded up to get him on purpose. I just took Hunt @ 1.9 & I do have Ware (who is just a guy & I am a Chiefs homer).

Maybe he did it by accident. Has anyone thought of that?

X2

And for everyone who says Perine has the better shot at immediate production, do we really know that? Idk that Kelley is that much worse than Ware, and Hunt certainly has the edge when it comes to pedigree.

I think they both have a 50-50 chance to be their team's starter by mid-season, but even if they "start" it could be similar to Dixon last year or Crowell his first couple years. 12-15 total touches per game kinda thing.
