Hunt/Perine...go

Postby cornhole2412 » Sun May 14, 2017 9:39 pm

12 teamer ppr. Got a pick coming up and thinking these will be my choices...

I'm in more of a reload that rebuild but i suppose it doesn't matter at this pick.

What do y'all think
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

I thunk hunt is more talented. Both are in similar situations.

I think short term Perine has a better shot at starting but I like Hunt long term. I'd take Hunt over Perine but wouldn't be upset with either.

Hunt for me. Perine is a better bet for production this year but I can't see him being more than an early down/goal line back (which isn't bad). Hunt has a great all around game and has all the tools to be an every-down back in this league. To me their floors are pretty similar in the long-term but Hunt has much more upside.

Even though it's 50/50, the comments and the youtube scouting combine lead me to Hunt. Thanks boys!

They virtually are the same athletically except Perine is 233 and Hunt is 216.
I'd be willing to bet Perine can easily beat out a 2016 undrafted free agent player in Fat Rob Kelly.
Ware did well for Kansas City and he's been a Chief for a while now. Hunt is going to have to really impress to beat out Ware for the every down role.
Perine ran for at least 1,060 yards each season he was at Oklahoma, all while Mixon was there who is going in the top 4 of rookie drafts.
IMO, Perine is the better bet to be a NFL and fantasy starter early than Hunt does.

All true.
My problem is Ware either got tired down the stretch (sucked) or was injured so Hunt potentially fills a 3 down role in KC because Andy Reid prefers one RB for most of the work. If you are willing to wait (might not be long) Hunt might pay off bigger for the relative same price.
However Perine will be a guy you should be able to flip faster if that is the goal. I think Perine is a better RB but the Redskins may not ever give him an opportunity to be an every down RB which is unfortunate but sort of how Gruden likes to play matchups on offense

Equal-ish. I had the choice of either one just a couple days ago and I chose Hunt, but I could have taken Perine and been OK with it too.

I could see either one blowing up. I could also see either one failing.

I've chosen Perine 2/2 opportunities thus far, and will continue to do so. KC already has a decent incumbent in place. Hunt will have relevance this year, but he won't dominate touches the same way that I project Perine to out of the gate. He'll take over the Charcandrick role off the bat. Not to say I don't like him, I just think Perine is better situated to produce early and often.

Both guys feel like they are too situationally propped value for my liking. I would trade back, grab D. Foreman(who I think has higher upside than the other two), and gain some value in the process. But that's just me, if u are a believer in either two guys, get your guy.

I'd go Perine with the idea that I would have a better chance to flip him during the year ..

I know everyone likes Hunt, but I am not sure he can beat out Spencer Ware ..
