Ross is closer in size to Lockett than OBJ. But yeah, the point is he does weigh more than Richardson and Lockett.

Ross is very athletic but you're right he's not the same player as OBJ. I think I comped him to Santana Moss.

Just saw him catch his first pass for 15 yards, already better than K White and L Treadwell, heh.

i would think so, i meant the high draft pick used on him suggests they want him to be the man on the outside and as another jump ball type threat in the redzone. hes playing now after only a few weeks into the season so with the rest of the season to pick up the playbook, get timing down with rivers, learn his role...ya he should be a solid starting WR in fantasy by next season, if not sooner, seems like theres a lot of mouths to feed currently though

Not surprised because John Ross has never been healthy. ACL and multiple MCL injuries in college. Not meant to be.

Yeah, the thing that scares me is:

Allen isn't going anywhere. Henry isn't going anywhere. Heck, Melly Gordon isn't going anywhere.

So for the next couple years, Williams' ceiling is what, taking over for Tyrell?

Well if he gets more snaps over other very strong options I'd imagine he'll be good enough to get his share of targets,,. If not, he will stay at a low snap total and we won't have to worry about it

It is a legitimate concern. Seems like the Williams', Benjamin, and the TEs are going to cannibalize each other this year for fantasy. Next year Benjamin should be gone, but I expect Tyrell to be back on a fairly cheap 1-year RFA contract (Taylor Gabriel got a little under $3m on a 2nd round tender last year, which would be a bargain for Tyrell int he NFL).

There is always the Allen injury upside, but I don't like relying on that.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

BigBawseRoss wrote: Tue Oct 17, 2017 9:55 am who would have thought that john ross would have a harder time gettin healthy than mike williams... thats all anyone talked about at FF draft time was that williams is the better prospect but might miss half the season.

Ross got one carry no targets and lost a fumble and has been hurt ever since.

these 2 better have a better career than kevin white and breshad perriman LOL so far they are on track to align perfectly with them
Anyone foolish enough to waste an early pick on a guy who couldn't even make it thru the 40 at the combine without getting hurt over a guy like Williams deserves to have it blow up in their face.

I was able to get Mike Williams in more leagues than is safe, so I'm heavily invested. I just assume this means he'll always be injured.

Seriously though, I'm not worried about his competition. Not that Keenan Allen, Gordon & Henry won't get theirs, but he was the #7 overall pick. Unless he's just terrible (Treadwell), he'll have his chance to shine.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Purely as a fan of good football, I really hope he pans out. He was my 1.02 up until a few months ago. Loved him coming out, but I'm seeing the ghost of Kevin White :(
