I agree 100%. Kind of funny we get in these debates on the forums, with one party talking so negatively about him you'd think he has him in tier 4. But realistically negative Nelson would only take 5wr over him. So ya he is an elite wr1 no matter how you look at ithot nikkels wrote:I think we're splitting hairs when we all argue about who's better, Calvin, AJG, Julio, etc. the fact we're discussing it tells me he's in that mix whether you own him or not.

Re: Josh Gordon
Link didn't work for me either but I clicked the option to be re routed. Took me to Cleveland Browns site dawgsbynature. Lots of articles but none that I saw that specifically discussed in detail Gordon's exact situation pertaining to his status in the NFL's drug infraction program. Not sure why the link was posted now.

Re: What would you trade for Gordon (Love and Hate)
I have him in my main league.
I can tell you that in order to pry him away from me, you would have to give up more than you would be willing and you would need to overpay.
But, if I were trying to acquire him, I wouldn't be willing to overpay due to the risks.

and by the end of october i was able to give two mid 1sts for him and he has pushed me into the playoffs. i will say though that he has shown quite a bit since back then.
Re: What would you trade for Gordon (Love and Hate)
I would give Gordon and a 1st for AJG. I would trade him straight up for Dem, Dez, Julio. And I would need a 1st with any other top 10 WR to get him. If I can sell high I would, but his hype is too valuable right now to sell at equal value.

Re: What would you trade for Gordon (Love and Hate)
Love him.
For me, young elite WRs are the most valuable commodity available. None of us know what his upside is yet. Also, the Browns have two 1st round picks, it is possible they make a big move for a franchise QB in next year's draft. He is 50 receiving yards behind the most dominant WR(who is in his prime) in the game while playing one less game than him. With that said, I don't think I could trade him.

If I asked for like Crabtree and 1.02 is that too crappy? Or is he worth a hold with my team AJG Julio as my first 2 WR next year.

uhh, if you trade him for crabtree and a 1st, you are crazy.

Would you trade Gordon for Crabtree and TRich? TRich was taken 1.01 or 1.02 in virtually all drafts. My point is draft picks, no matter how high, have risk. It would take more than Crabtree for me as well.

Where do you rank Gordon and give us some not so obvious receivers you have ahead of him. These statements are getting old and nothing is being added to the conversation. Give us who you got. Would you rank Randle ahead of him? Austin? Jordy? Hopkins? Smith?49ersFaithful80 wrote:Josh Gordon should not be ranked in the top 5 because of the extreme suspension risk.

Josh Gordon = Huge moron, he's proven this with his continual drug use.
If he ever tests positive for anything one more time in his entire career he's getting a year suspension.

Re: Josh Gordon
I took Blackmon and Gordon with back to back picks in a startup this offseason and the other receivers in that area were Hopkins and Mike Williams. I'll take guys with top-5 upside and a five year suspension risk over middling WR3's you can guarantee will play the next 8 years without injury.CokeAndBacardi wrote:Where do you rank Gordon and give us some not so obvious receivers you have ahead of him. Re: Josh Gordon
I would disagree that Hopkins is only a middling WR3...I would have probably taken Gordon and Blackmon too, but Hopkins isn't exactly trash. His rookie numbers will probably be pretty close to what Gordon's were.CokeAndBacardi wrote:I took Blackmon and Gordon with back to back picks in a startup this offseason and the other receivers in that area were Hopkins and Mike Williams. Re: What would you trade for Gordon (Love and Hate)
It might depend on my situation. He's a VERY high ceiling guy but a VERY low floor one too. In one league, I'm stacked at wide-reciever with AJG, Julio, Gordon, Keenan Allen, and Floyd. I've also got good depth. In that league, I don't know if there's anybody outside of Calvin who I'd trade Gordon for. It's not because I think he's worth that much, it's just that I already have solid WRs who could step in if Gordon were ever to be suspended so I'd rather take the flier on his potential for top 2-3 production than get someone who is a near lock for top 10/15 production (like Cobb, Cruz, etc...).
Now if I was in a situation where I needed a guy with fewer question marks because I didn't have much much/any wide-reciever depth. I'd might take Cobb, Cruz, Keenan+, or Alshon+ for Gordon.
