If any team can get him back on the field, it's the Pats.

So you can flip him the minute he is reinstated.joeya2001 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 9:29 amso tempting to pick him back up....ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:13 am https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/01/28/josh- ... -bowl-2019

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
There are still people that would be stupid enough to trade for him? I can't imagine he'll get reinstated after another test fail, though.perkinsrooster wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 10:48 amSo you can flip him the minute he is reinstated.joeya2001 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 9:29 amso tempting to pick him back up....ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:13 am https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/01/28/josh- ... -bowl-2019

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
The NFL will be the only ones that are able to get him back on the field, and Goodell hates the Pats, so I'd imagine that is a negative for Gordon's chances, if anything. Isn't he going to be a FA, though?Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 10:24 am If any team can get him back on the field, it's the Pats.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Just weird the pats never released him. I guess there's no penalty to hold on?
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
The penalty is the likely wasted bench spot. But maybe one bench spot isn't as big a deal to others as it is to me. I'm always straining for bench space.
Even if Gordon is reinstated someday, shouldn't he be regarded as roster cancer regardless? He isn't going to change. This is who he is. You can't invest anything significant in him, so even in the event he plays again, seems to me he'd have to be regarded as no better than a near-term asset on your roster while you wait for him to inevitably screw up again. Is that worth stashing for a year, or whatever?
You can get near-term assets off the waiver wire every season. The difference between them and Gordon is that those other guys have at least some chance to stay relevant long-term.

It's over for me. Pretty happy to have unloaded him when the Pats traded to get him. I felt that was my last chance to get out. Same with Bryant I held him a year too long as well. Never again.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
I have been one of the biggest supporters of Josh Gordon, but my hopes have bottomed out. I'll hold my two shares as they have no value, so why sell. But I don't think he will get back onto the field.
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Sooo Josh Gordon himself is refuting this. He's saying the Patriots are in fact not paying for his treatment.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:13 am https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/01/28/josh- ... -bowl-2019

Haha it was a nice post though. Took me a second to realize it was at my comment. I'm just surprised the Pats have held on. I mean he's on the exempt list for AT LEAST all of 2019. I don't see where they benefit from it and to be honest I assumed they already dropped him
