Josh Gordon Thread: Reinstatement (Deja Vu)
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
I believe I set my over-under at 500 yards, a few guys noted Vegas had it posted at 800. I'm shocked that he is headed towards the over. I didn't think he could keep himself together this long. Hopefully, the role with the Pats will give him longterm focus and keep him on the right track going forward.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
I didn't think he looked good at all yesterday, along with the rest of the Pats. he still managed an ugly 4-81, with a bad drop or two. I still don't like him long term at all, but he should have his moments ROS. As far as "conquering demons", its been a few weeks only. Addicts like him ( I say like him since weed is one of the easiest to kick) will face those demons for a long, long time. Fiends relapse after years sometimes, just like that, but baby steps are progress no matter how you shake it.

The only thing Gordon is "fiending" for is the ball. Ha called him a fiend for smoking weed

No, that is not why I called him a fiend. I smoke weed myself. Ha

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
either way, I think he found the perfect fit. I feel like somewhere in this thread when he was still suspended, you could find someone saying 'NE and co. would be a great fit for him to get back on track'

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
I agree with that, I don't know what they do up in NE, but they build some sort of culture that combines professionalism /fear in a unique way. It seems to work with a lot of cast-offs while they are there (to some extent) and then you see their reaction once they leave, like yesterday in Tennessee post game. I knew talent wise Gordon would be a good fit, that is what they do with talent there. I still think he is going to relapse one way or another in short time. Not necessarily saying it will be from smokin dro or if it will be as simple as missing too many meetings.

que? few weeks? He hasn't flagged a test in over 2 years, what am I missing?Friction wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:02 am As far as "conquering demons", its been a few weeks only. you are missing that negativity will always loom, most want to be on the "I told you side".Krypto_King wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:33 pmque? few weeks? But off that, I'm glad hes doing good and has a role in the offense, I just hope they resign him next season.

Congratulations if you had Josh Gordon would not be suspended or released before Kareem Hunt in your fantasy pool.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Gordon is now at 718 yards - 701 of which have come with the Patriots in 10 games - a 16 game projection of 1121 yards (if Gordon had played a 16 game season with the Patriots). His target total of 65 with the Patriots would extrapolate for a 16 game season to 104 - which is in a similar range of what Brandin Cooks got last year.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Assuming his stats continue into the post season and no issues (injuries or drugs) come up, what would you be buying/selling him for in the offseason?

I'd say a late first is his price range.Oddball456 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 10:53 am Assuming his stats continue into the post season and no issues (injuries or drugs) come up, what would you be buying/selling him for in the offseason?

He was selling for that in August. At least I did. Should be higher now.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:34 amI'd say a late first is his price range.Oddball456 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 10:53 am Assuming his stats continue into the post season and no issues (injuries or drugs) come up, what would you be buying/selling him for in the offseason?

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
My get out price for a while has been mid 1st. Sold 1 share for OJ Howard. In a vacuum I'd buy for a playoff 1st, 9-12.
