Wouldn't you be jaded if you didn't trust him? Trusting him would be someone who isn't jaded. Anyway, semantics!

I think when JG involved, YES always a reason for concern. The thing that jumped to mind right away for me though is this may just be his way of milking his situation to avoid training camp. Sure WE love training camp, but for a veteran player it s*cks. They usually go to a college campus or some other place where you force grown-up multi-millionaires into a camp-like setting and remove them from the opulent residences they are accustomed to. If you are a vet in the same system, you might look at it as an unpleasant period of practices that present the chance for injury and basically are boring and uncomfortable. If you aren't in need of winning your spot, a guy like JG may want to skip. Some of those places don't even have AC in the rooms I feel like I have seen on Hard Knocks

My guess is HBO has been in touch with the Browns and/or Gordon's agent over the past week or so , and their planning the interviews for Hardknocks. This made Gordon anxious and now he's in fear of relapsing. Which has now made him contact his sponsor and/or a clinic to discuss treatments.

Once again just a guess. My only hope is that he didn't relapse already because of the anxiety he has. One drink could set him over the edge and he could be out for a long period of time.

I really hope, for his sake, it is purely to do with wanting to avoid the invasive filming from Hard Knocks. As a producer he is the guy you'd probably want to put under a microscope during filming. Still... I'll believe it when I see it (i.e. only once he's back performing in week 1)

So sad. Really hoping he isn't suspended before our free agent auction. I want someone to destroy their cap on him!!

Honestly, i had forgotten about Hard Knocks being in Cleveland. I could actually see that having something to do with all of this. Hopefully that is indeed the case and he is still on the right track.

Could this not be about him avoiding a situation that could set him up for failure? From what I hear about training camps they aren’t always full from a time commitment perspective and players sometime engage in *ahem* less than gentlemanly conduct in the downtime. I hope this is him displaying wisdom by not going anywhere close to that situation when he knows it will not be conducive to his long-term well-being.

This is actually a very well stated response if the Schefter tweet is indeed true

Regardless, it's not good. I hope he gets himself together as a person, for his life after football, which could be sooner than later. I think if you own him in Dynasty this just might be your last chance to get anything for him.

Keep in mind if Gordon gets suspended that Corey Coleman is almost free right now. But I'm more worried about Martavis Bryant than Gordon. But Martavis is almost free too. Selling high on Gordon if I can (which means 1.4 value) but buying M. Bryant & Coleman.

I'd be all over that if you could get it. I wouldn't pay anything close to that, but some people might.

He will be an addict for life most likely, the only difference is he has been managing it much better than previous yrs (hopefully) if anything it's good to see him get on the front foot by acknowledging he is at a stressful place and seeking extra counseling. If we start hearing nothing but good things like he's completely healed "praise the Lord" then we should worry because it may mean he's hiding it.
That's just my opinion though, in Josh Gordons case I like to think of it like a child in the house, if it's quiet that's when you worry haha
