I'm the same, I traded Julio when he was injured for Josh to win my comp like 4 yrs ago and I refuse to sell him. I've come to peace to this fact. I will never get what I think he's worth so either the market adjust if he produces or I will go down with the ship and I'm okay with that. If you look at my team sigs, you can see my depth chart and where I rank him. You want him, that's the price I want.AussieMate wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 4:47 pmI'm the same, I traded Julio when he was injured for Josh to win my comp like 4 yrs ago and I refuse to sell him. Josh Gordon’s absurd, #1 wr in the league tear of a year, in which he was the only notable weapon on a team constantly playing from behind:
6.2 catches for 117.6 yards and 0.64 TDs per game
= 6.2+11.76+.64(6)= 21.86 ppg. Absurd season.
Beckham’s average game through his CAREER:
6.7 catches for 94.1 yards and .81 TDs per game
= 6.7+9.41+.81(6)= 20.97 ppg. Absurd career. Younger career. Would you like to see Beckham’s best season?
7.6 catches for 108.8 and 1 TD per game
= 7.6+10.88+6= 24.48 ppg. As a rookie...coming in without a preseason and without much practice with the team due to a torn hamstring.
If curious, Gordon’s career fantasy ppg to this point is 4.5+7.72+.375(6)=14.47. Not horrible, but not touching Beckham’s standard. Consider the average of 14.47 is including 14 games averaging 21.86. Those other 26 games really were leaving a lot to be desired to plummet the average that far.

Upon closer inspection of his sig, you’re right. Carry on. I won’t defend Beckhamn as I can’t find his stats at the moment.

you win with the stats. but my eyes like Gordon more. with the stats, it's not really apples to apples and it hardly ever is in this game. Gordon was playing with career journeymen or backup grade QBs and was high every game. Beckham was playing with a career starting QB and while aging he is still better than any QB that Gordon has played with. i concede the facts, but my heart prefers Gordon.Valhalla wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 9:32 pmI think he’s incredibly talented as well, but can’t put him over Beckham or Hopkins...kamihamster wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 4:50 pm

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Nothing wrong with that - kudos to kamihamster for being upfront about it. I always like it when an owner says I know the facts or the consensus is lower than I am on a player, but I believe in and/or want this player on my roster, and if you want him then you have to be as crazy or more than I am in order to get him. I feel the same way about a few players.
So long as it is legit of course (and not one of those owners who routinely offers C. Ivory for Melvin Gordon deals).

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
I selected Gordon at 6.05 in a superflex startup right after I got Watkins at 6.04 after trading away Cooks. Feel like I got 2 players that could be going in the 3rd round of startups a year from now or way back. Gotta take a few chances on talented players lacking opportunity
Yeah I mean 1.12 we are talking Sutton or something. Not offensive but I know Gordon is good...I only hope Sutton is kinda good. After eating all the risk and holding the roster spot for years no way I would deal him for less than a top 1/2 pick. None of those rookies are locked in as successes in fantasy but we know Gordon has made gold from garbage in the pastFezzik wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 6:10 amPeople are kind of honest about it though. it's funny. Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
The problem is Gordon cannot be valued based on talent alone. If he merely has one alcoholic drink he possibly may never play again. The owners of Gordon that I have spoke to all want him valued as though there is not off-the-field risk. The reality is the risk is extremely high. I have not seen him traded in any of my leagues and I would imagine he is not being traded a great deal in total because of the chasm in perception between owners and potential owners.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
in a superflex league i traded for gordon. i gave up stafford/cobb and got ryan/gordon.
however the other guy just took over the team apparently so there was no emotional attachment to gordon. plus he was absolutely stacked at wr. gordon would always be on his bench.
so while i was making a play for gordon he was making a play for stafford.

Is anyone else as concerned as I am about Gordon tweeting out he would be absent from the start of training camp for overall health and well-being - part of his mental and physical treatment plan - before promptly deleting the tweet thread?

He just re-tweeted it out in note form but this still has to be concerning. At the least it's odd that he would need to miss training camp. Hoping for the best but

At first glance i would agree but it sounds like this is just part of the plan. Not sure why that plan would involve holding him out of camp but i will trust it until proven otherwise. But again, this has always been the worry of rostering and depending on Gordon.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Don't be worried
In a series of tweets, Josh Gordon said he will miss the start of training camp but has "every intention of being ready and available to join my teammates soon."
Gordon says the absence is "part of my overall health and treatment plan," suggesting this was expected. "By continuing to follow the plan set up by our medical director and his team and taking this time before this season starts," Gordon writes, "we believe it will help me maintain the progress I’ve made for not only today but for many years to come." While any absence is notable for a player with Gordon's history, there does not appear to be any reason for concern at this point.

A source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that Josh Gordon is "absolutely not suspended."
Josh is doing everything in his power it appears to stay on track.
