Seen some of it, not all of it. QB play definitely has an affect, I'm just not seeing the elite WR1 upside (as in THE WR1) he was 5 years ago. 18 reception on 42 targets is horribly inefficient, and the TD upside hasn't been there either. I just don't think he's going to consistently dominate. I think the size and athleticism could still get him some big games here and there, but figuring out when could be frustrating. I'd much rather own him in a bestball league.

Idk what you're seeing that you didn't like. I think he was a little lazy at times but otherwise I saw exactly what I wanted to. He still made it look effortless

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
He looked pretty darn good toying with Hayward after not playing for years... Now imagine him with a full off season with the Browns. Then imagine him with Mayfield dropping dimes. Im gettin all excited thinking about it.
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Lest we not forget - Terrelle Pryor had 1000+ yards in a season with the Browns. When your team is as bad as the Browns, there is a lot of garbage time and opportunity for receivers: someone has to catch the ball for any time.
Now that the Browns have other options (and arguably better) - I cannot see Gordon being anything more than a low end WR2 at best. Even that I would not bank on.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Which is exactly where his ADP falls. I'd be happy with WR2 numbers

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Same here. Hes my 4th WR in the team in sig. Id be ecstatic with mid to low end WR 2 output.
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
But he has far more risk than any other low-end WR2 and I do not think the upside is present that many imply.
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Yeah but what would I do with him? No one will give me anything greater than a ham sandwich thats already had a bite taken out of it. And it seems those are the only offers Gordon owners get. Id rather keep him than trade him for close to nothing.
Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Really? I was thinking that this is probably a good time to sell. A lot of people have forgotten the risk already. If I can swap Gordon for 1.4 as his DLF ADP suggests then I'm ready to sell. If owners in your league are more wary then hang on and hope the ADP is justified.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
His upside is still a wr1. Whether he does it or not is a different arguement but you can't say he doesn't have wr1 upside when he has done it before.
I also don't believe he will hit that this year but I project a wr2 with sone wr1 games mixed in ever few weeks. Should be a good wr3 for a team that could be a game winning.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
As a longtime owner of Gordon, I can tell you the highs are extremely high when he plays, but when he gets high the lows are the lowest of lows. That's based in part by his amazing talent and the fact that it can't be utilized on your squad.
I can't tell you how many times I've thought of dumping him and just being done. l wouldn't get too giddy like it's not going to all unravel right when he shows his electrified play. It's my biggest worry.
From what I've read his problem wasn't that he was just stupid and wanted to smoke and drink. It is simply that he was an alcoholic from his teen years. Many people have been able to shed the drink and pursue full and healthy lives. I truly hope that's the case for this kid. Mostly for himself and his life.
If he's on your squad I highly suggest moving him if you get something really decent. You'll probably have to wait for training camps and maybe preseason to get the best value. The only thing that is crystal clear right now is that if he falls back to the past, he's an immediate drop.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Traded for him in both my leagues this off season.
Trade #1
Gordon + 2.13 for 1.7
The owner drafted Freeman and I traded that 2nd for two future 2nd’s
Trade #2
Gordon + 1.5 for Crabtree + 1.2 + a 2019 2nd
Draft has yet to take place. But I value the 1.2 through the 1.5 as virtually equal in value in this year’s class. So I see it as Crabtree and a 2nd for Gordon.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
Gordon was traded in our league for a 2019-1st + a 2020-1st.
The owner who drafted him held on to him so him being moved was quite a shock, let alone the price tag.

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement
If Gordon is anything like he was before his troubles began then I don't see the two 1s as an overpay. I've had Gordon for years on a roster that needs him desperately. Happy to hold on.
