I see everywhere that Pitt and NYG are identified as teams needing a QB because of an aging starting QB. Phillip Rivers is the same age (and draft class), yet LAC is never mentioned as a team needing a QB because of an aging starter.
In Pitt's case, I get it: Roethlisberger has been beaten up more, missed more time, and used the dreaded "r" word. Still, why is LAC consistently omitted as a need for a young QB while Pitt and NYG are always mentioned?

Big Ben was contemplating retirement and could be gone as soon as next offseason. Eli looked old last year and there is no guarantee he doesn't fall off a cliff this season. Both those teams could be dire need of a QB as soon as next year. Whereas Rivers is getting old but is still having good years. They know the end is coming for him, but it's not as close as for the other teams. They were thinking of getting a QB to sit behind Rivers and learn from him and eventually take over later on, but they have time if they want it.

I have heard the Chargers mentioned a lot as a team that could go QB in the 1st 3-4 rounds. Another team could be NO, although I wish they'd give my boy Chase Daniel a shot.

Agreed, I've definitely heard the Chargers mentioned as a team that will look to get a young QB. I think the Cardinals need too as bad or worse than any team. Maybe they would've went Mahomes if the Chiefs didn't move up but either way, they have to address that spot soon.
