Those of you dropping Cook of your upper tier board are literally insane reactionaries. Has this become a redraft forum all of a sudden?

It's a TERRIBLE situation. And yes, situation matters when drafting RBs
It's a possibly bad situation RIGHT NOW. Long term, not at all. McKinnon was never going to be anything, at least not with the Vikings, and this cements that. Vikings saw a stud drop to middle-ish area of round 2 and had to pounce. Now they get to pair Murray and Cook in a nice 2 back combo. The Murray deal is very easy to get out of for free after one year. Then, voila, Cook is the guy. That is not a crazy scenario to envision at all.

Those of you who were desperately hoping to get 1200yds and 10tds from your rookie RBs THIS season - that's just not likely.

Long game, Cook will be terrific in Minny.

It isnt a desireable situation like people were hoping (GB, PHI, Indy) but it is not completely garbage...The vikings went and got 2 new starting tackles. Are they studs? NO...they are average but they both stay healthy, which is something neither tackle did for the Vikings last year. Picked up Elfein to play Center and Berger can go back to his natural RG position.
EXACTLY
The recency bias about Minny is staggering. They were terrific at the ground game for the better part of a decade. Last year was such a flukish scenario for them with oline injuries, combined with losing theri starting QB and RB and offensive coordinator early and having to constantly adjust on the fly. People are tremendously overreacting to the Minny oline situation. Last season was a virtually unprecedented firestorm for that offense.

Where you were drafted doesn't really matter after a couple of seasons outside of being able to reach free agency sooner. Using your logic, how long did it take before that QB that the Patriots took in the 6th round could earn some job security? Hurns got a pretty big extension so he might have lost relevance to you in fantasy football but he's got $20 mil guaranteed coming to him. Yeah, not relevant at all.

Teams are always looking for better talent as cheap as possible. It doesn't get much cheaper than UDFA. They'd be crazy to say hey, thanks for the 1000 yards, here's your walking papers. Obviously more UDFA fade away than make it but you could say that about a ton of draft picks as well.
Tired of arguing with Tyrell Williams owners. You guys are like cultists. You're comparing Tyrell Williams' situation to Tom Brady's? Was Brady undrafted? Is he a WR? What are you even talking about? Brady was Super Bowl MVP in his 2nd NFL season. So to answer your silly question, it didn't take him any time at all to earn job security.

The part in bold is absolute BS. Not how business in the NFL works. Draft picks routinely get 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances. UDFAs do not. Go ahead - post a list of successful UDFA WRs in the last ten years. It's a short list. In a 20 round dynasty startup, how many UDFA WRs are typically drafted? Two? Should I jump on that Geronimo Allison stock?

You believe Allen Hurns is a relevant asset in dynasty football but he's a 14th /15th round startup pick. That's irrelevant in most leagues.
Hahaha, this x10000
I LOVE how much the Tyrell owners are trying to convince everyone (and themselves) that everything is going to be okay.
The Chargers drafting Mike Williams at #7 is simply not a good thing for Tyrell - no matter how you want to spin it. His situation would clearly be better if the Chargers had NOT drafted Mike Williams there. And yes - it probably is not a great thing for Keenan either. Both would clearly be in line for more guaranteed targets without a top 10 rookie pick in the mix.

Is this the Chargers making a statement about how they feel about Keenan's injury history? Probably so.

And with that in mind, I think it is a clear and truer statement of this: The Chargers absolutely did NOT want to go into a season with Tyrell Williams as their best receiving option.

To me, that speaks volumes.

(Cue the Tyrell owners' rants in 10...9...8...7...)
Your analysis of what Tyrell Williams did on the field this past season is brilliant and incisive except for one small detail, there is no analysis of what he did on the field. Your argument instead? He is an UDFA........

Tyrell Williams has already shown on the field that he has legitimate NFL level skills with a chance to have a very good career, possibly excellent. Meanwhile some owners are aleady crowning Mike Williams because of draft pedigree. Laquon Treadwell anyone? How this plays out exactly is yet to be determined.

Mack to Indy is going to be interesting. With all of the non-ideal spots he could be an early second.

I really like Ford. I'm hoping that he goes undrafted though. I have a sneaking suspicion that the pats don't re-sign Amendola and/or Edelman next year which leaves them with Cooks, Mitchell, and Hogan (if they re-sign him) but I would love to see a guy like Ford come there and sit a year
