I appreciate the work you put into this. I think that 2014 class was far outside the mean. It made everyone value WRs far more than they should the following few seasons. This year, I find it underwhelming.

Saw a comment from an NFC executive quoted on Rotoworld today that said this season's class was one of the worst he'd seen in years... Thought that was quite interesting.

I've noticed the trend about a month before the draft is to just spout the opposite of what the consensus is. It gets views/clicks/whatever. And if you stumble into a correct prediction you can re-tweet yourself for the next 5 years claiming guru status.

Maybe that's it. Then again, I really hope that owners are starting to gradually realize that they have fallen into the same annual trap of overvaluing rookies.

They're never gonna do it but until they put their names to quotes, they don't mean much. There are so many execs and scouts on every team there's bound to be differing opinions.

I don't believe a single thing anyone says that makes headlines this close to the draft. Lots of smoke

Thanks, I'm thinking of going back and adding in 2012 and 2013 too. Need to find the time though.

Through this analysis are we also seeing that Mike Williams didn't even make a dent in these rankings?

Thanks for doing this. Great read.

One question I have is, why is there a dissonance between your analysis and what everyone is saying about the 2017 WR class? I'm not sure if that has happened in previous years. Perhaps someone else can comment on that. I've consistently heard from people here or other places that this is a very weak WR class. Do we need to re evaluate that?
