1050/7 is where I'd project him. Of course the more injuries the Pats pass catchers deal with this season the more that line moves up IMO.

Hands down the best WR on that team. When Gronk misses time, Cooks will get 12-15 targets a game. The TDs won't really matter. He's a good bet for 90+ receptions with his eyes closed and well over 1000 yards.

Skip, I think Cooks is fantastic, but I disagree that he will have all that success with his hands down and eyes closed. That just sounds like really bad form for a WR.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

the problem with cook with as always be consistency already a problem with new england skill players except brady . Cooks will have some monster weeks and some weeks with very little production and the pouting act seen after after last years zero target game won't fly for a second in foxborough . My guess is 1245 yards and 7 tds with about half of those stats in about 4 games and the rest spread over the other 12 weeks .

Underused? He was 12th in the league in air yards in 2016.

90/1300/8 would be my guess.

Doesn't really fit with the poll options.

Without a doubt underused. He was 24th in targets. He was used time after time as a decoy making the other NO WRs look better than they actually are.

So then since the merger name the two, yes TWO, Patriot Wide Receivers with 10+ receiving TDs in a season.

That's an unfair and arbitrary number (10) to cut off for WRs. Moss had 23 with Welker's 8, which is a LOT of TDs between two targets.
Cooks is the best WR they have now, better than Edelman. They also have Gronk, but there's no reason Gronk and Cooks can't both get double digits.

10 was picked as the poll matched 10tds with 1000 yards, and plenty had an issue predicting the 10tds part (rightly so imo) but not the 1000 yards.

There is no reason 2 Patriots couldn't have 10+ receiving TDs in the same year. But Brady has never done it and only 2 WRs in Patriot history have scored 10+ Rec TDs. The other guy was Stanley Morgan (their all-time leading WR).

When is the last time Belichick spent a 1st round pick on a WR? Belichick is a master at adjusting his offense to the talents of his players. Cooks could possibly be a monster in NE. Defenses will have to pick their poison between Cooks and Gronk.

Edelmann and the backfield may be beneficiaries as well with Cooks stretching the field and Gronkowski bossing the seam. I think defenses are going to struggle against NE this year and Brady, despite being 40, is going to have a big season.
