Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
He may get to 1000 yards but I don't see 10+ TD's so I'm not a huge fan of any of the options in the poll.

Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
I agree, don't see him scoring a TD for every 100 yards gained.
99 problems but your 10 team league ain't one!
Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
I agree with the above. I don't see him getting a TD per every 100 yards, but I think he's good for 800-900 yards and a solid 6-7 TD's. he may get more though, It is possible.

Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
I could see his yardage exceed 1000. I'm much less confident in the TD's though. TD predictions are really futile. He could get just as easily get 1, 6, or 10.... no one really knows. But, I find it unlikely that he gets less than 800 receiving yards. That seems exceptionally conservative. To a fault even. I mean LESS than 800 yds. He is just too talented for that ... and, NE is certainly aware of his talent or they wouldn't have pursued him. With Gronk's injury history, the loss of M.Bennett, I'd assume that there has got to be enough to go around in Brady's offense to keep Cooks fantasy relevant.

Where's 1300 and 13?
JK. But I do expect very nice numbers. I'll predict 1100 and 8, keeping him somewhere around WR10 or so.

I would like an option for 1000+ yards with under 10 TDs.
I would personally predict 1100 yards and 7 TDs

Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
He had 8 & 9 TDs the past two seasons in NO and was underused. Belichick would not give up a 1st without plans to use Cooks heavily. I think 1000+ yards and 10 TDs is very realistic. Cooks is damn good.
Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
Agree with this. I'd say 1100 yds, 6 TDs.

1295, 11 TDs
Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
1150 & 9 but I have a feeling he will get a lot more receptions than in NO.
I also think he will earn Brady's and belichick's trust and respect by week 3, and he will ball out in the playoffs and get a juicy contract extension.
Next year will me 1350 & 12.

Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
Here's to hoping Brady goes for setting a new TD mark (over 50) and gives gronk and cooks double digit TDs. He gave Moss 23. Maybe he can give Cooks 13...

1250 Yards and 7-10 TDs on ~140 targets.

Re: Poll: Brandon cooks yards and touchdowns
He's gone over 1,100 yards each of the last 2 seasons and had at least 8 TDs the last 2 years.
The year before that, his rookie year he had 550 and 3 in 10 games, extrapolated out to 16 games is 880 yards and 5 TDs (4.8).
What I see is an explosive and all around great athlete that has progressed very well in his young career (will be 24 in September).
Is he more suited to a be a deep threat with his long speed, absolutely, but he has some elite agility and change of direction ability that allows him to win on hitch routes and over the middle of the field.
The Patriots don't do anything without a plan in place and they clearly went out and said look, our WR core in general is on the older and more and more injury prone side, even our young prospect Malcolm Mitchell fits that description so far. We want to go out and spend a 1st round pick on a young WR that has been very productive in his young career that we feel confident in saying can be our WR1.
Is his defined role slightly unclear? Absolutely. He has a similar but superior skill set and usage to Edelman. But what I see is the Patriots being ahead of the curve and understanding that the prime of Edelman and playing 16+ games is in the past. I could care less how they use Cooks, they didn't invest a 1st round pick for him to play 70% or less of the offensive snaps and someone that young and dynamic compared to what they have outside of Gronk, he's going to excel, PERIOD
You might get games where he goes AWOL since we've already seen that at times in New Orleans and we all know the Patriots are matchup kings and depending on who they play or what the situation is, can really lock in and exploit certain matchups (which sometimes could be not Cooks), but I'm confident he'll get enough usage to be in the 1,000+ and 10TDs+ area very easily
