Always thought Powell was underrated. I think he'll compete for a big role....

He seems to produce every time he's given the chance, however he is rarely given the chance. When Forte breaks down again I think he an RB2 easily, especially in ppr

He's a great player to have on your bench/ spot starter. At his current price he is good value.

I like Powell quite a bit too. Kinda like what everyone else said, he usually produces when given a chance.

I am buying him up where I can. He is dirt cheap. A lot of his upside will depend on where they draft and RB and how many they grab. Barring them drafting a top tier RB prospect, I think he is in line for a very solid season.

I've always liked Powell more than most, and I think he's done well every time he's been given an opportunity. The Jets coaching staff was vocal that they believed they gave Forte too much work early in the season last year. Even with a healthy Forte I expect Powell to have a more consistent role and operate as a low PPR RB2. I also think he showed at the end of last season that he has serious RB1 upside if he gets an opportunity to work as a feature 3 down back

Zero chance he earns anything close to a starting role short of injuries happening around him. He's been on the Jets for a few years and the organization has made it clear by going out and getting other running backs to be the starter multiple times.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I wouldn't expect him to be a 3 down lead back, but there could be opportunity there for a chunk of the season if it's he an Forte. I wasn't advocating that Powell could earn a 300 touch role this season, but I also don't think it's out of the question that he ends up with more touches than Forte in a timeshare.

I see a lot of mocks giving the Jet's a RB in the first, but I think they're about as likely to take another QB and I stongly suspect they'll be aiming DB with Revis gone and the unit being fairly weak to begin with. They brought in Claiborne, but he's far from proven. I think they'll be drafting a RB at some point this year, but Powell will likely still have a roll.

The Jets need everything. Their entire offense is in total rebuild.

They have no QB.
Their best RB is 32 years old.
They have no WR's after they cut Decker.
They have no TE.
Their offensive line is poor.

I don't see them cutting Decker and Enunwa has looked okay. Devin Smith could still have some upside with someone that isn't terrible throwing the ball. I agree on the line and TE.

It is no doubt situational driven, but Powell has often had comparable or better production than his teammates.

Whether he can ever be a season long lead RB is a different matter (he misses games most seasons). I like him as a player, but not overly optimistic he'll be given the chance or the situation is that great for Fantasy production. Nevertheless I own him in a few leagues.
