Is it bold to predict the Browns do something dumb with the #1 overall? Like take any QB.

Maybe with a different regime. I think this regime is much more rational than any they've had.

If they pass on Myles Garrett, that's just crazy to me. I know reports are that they are split within the organization on whom to pick but I don't see how they pass on Garrett. Such a high bust rate on QBs, they should just take one with their other first round pick. I actually like some of the moves that they made and even the Osweiler trade, just took on the salary to gain the 2nd rounder from the Texans, basically a NBA trade.

2017 NFL Draft Bold Predictions
1. 49ers trade Hyde to the Eagles and then draft Fournette #2 overall.
2. Jags draft OJ Howard at #4 to replace Julius Thomas
Both are definitely longshots, just trying to be creative, you never know.

If they don't pick Garrett or trade away the pick then I think they're quickly undoing what's been a great off season for them.

I like the first one and don't think it's that crazy. The 2nd one seems like a real longshot, but better than any guess I could come up with.

I know in the offseason we are starving for football, so I understand why many look at mocks just to see what others think might happen. I for one haven't looked at one mock this year and can't remember the last time I did.

Pretty sure this thread was about bold statement...there are some pretty safe/expected ones in here. I just hope I'm not putting too much confidence in the current front office in Cleveland but their moves thusfar this off season have given me hope.

I think the main value that Mocks bring to the table is that they inform the more casual fan of who some of the top prospects are across all positions, and also give context to what schemes those players would fit best.

It gives the fans at the draft something to be mad about when their team doesn't take the guy that all the mocks said they would. You finally convince yourself that your team should've taken the guy all the mocks had and they turn around and go in a completely different direction on a player you're not familiar with. Cameras capture your outrage and agony = ratings gold.
