Buy-Low RBs?

As the title suggests, who are your buy-low RBs going into this season?

Ameer Abdullah comes to mind. Riddick is recovering from wrist surgery and the Lions have upgraded their OLine.

Bilal Powell is super cheap and was very good last season. He basically scored the same PPR points as Gurley on far fewer touches.

CJ Prosise: Takes a value hit with the Lacy signing but is still the preferred PPR back
Jerrick McKinnon: Will still likely be the PPR back with Murray signing
Riddick: Wrist Surgery is an opportunity to buy low

I agree with this. I've always been a fan of Powell for his price point. He's shown well in the limited touches he has to work with. It'll be interesting to see what the Jets do in the draft in regards to adding a RB. I've seen Fournette mocked there which would be an ugly situation for everyone.

Crowell, Hyde, Gurley, Tevin Coleman come to mind.

Forte if you're a contender could be extremely cheap with lots of mock drafts having the Jets taking a RB. I think they'll wait another year. They started rebuilding and probably want to build the rest of the team beforehand. Either way though, Forte will have a role and could produce very well for a very small investment.

Todd Gurley - Traded at a low price in my league. Some owners are low on him.
Rob Kelley - Keeps getting praises from HC.
Rex Burkhead - I'm sooo curious to see how NEP uses him.
Ameer Abdullah - good prospect, someone has to start in Detroit.
Keep your ears open this offseason:
Darius Jackson - Just keep an eye on him in Cleveland.
Alex Collins - HC Likes him. Most "stable" back last year with steady improvement. Crowded backfield but unreliables ahead of him.
Mike Gillislee - McCoy won't last forever.
CJ Prosise - who knows what happens in Seattle. Owners might be selling because it's crowded.

Just a list and I'm sure I missed some. Not saying any of these will break out, but keep your ears open.

In 2016, for .5 pt PPR Forte and Powell finished with 168.60 and 168.00 points, respectively. And Powell had 87 fewer carries. And his price is likely to be less than that of Forte, still.

I would take either for the right price. If they're both the same price, then yes I'd probably lean Powell. Just saying that the 31 year old Forte could probably be had on the cheap as well.

I agree. If the price is right he is a great add. Unless of course they draft an obvious RB1.

I bought Howard ..

I think Gurley is the poster board for Buy-Low, or just being available now where he wasn't before...

Dunno about Gurley. A lot of owners think the change in coaching is going to pay immediate dividends and are unlikely to sell low.

Buy low RB is almost an oxymoron.

I'll say Alex Collins. Not an overwhelming talent, but if Lacy slips up Collins' could end up seeing GL work and potentially 10 touches a game. Seattle loves rotating RBs.

Also Jalen Richard. Yes Oakland will be adding another RB. No that does not mean Richard loses all his value. He looked pretty explosive to me in both running and catching. Good return man too, he's comfortable in space and there will be lots of it with Carr slinging the ball around.

I bought Hyde even before Shanahan.

I love Powell but don't thonk he is a Buy Low.

Others for me would be Jalen Richard, Dion Lewis (while everyone focuses on Burkhead), Kenyon Drake, Riddick, Giovanni Bernard, Vereen (costs nothing) and Rawls (purely based on his drop)

My favorite- and no one will like this - is Smallwood. So far no running backs added, great young QB, a bunch of new receivers so the offense should be far better and Sproles isn't getting younger. Of course they draft Dalvin and that goes kablooey!!!...but I did buy!!
22-man, 12-team, 1 pt-PPR; Start 1-2RB; 3-4 WR; 1-2 TE

TEAM 1
QB: Prescott, Foles
RB: Barkley, P Barber, Duke, Gio Bernard, Gus, C Thompson, Breida, Ekeler
WR: A Cooper, Cooks, Lockett, C. Davis, Crowder, Chark, Stills
TE: OJ Howard
