Got: 2.10

Honestly a couple of guys I've kinda given up on but knew would have some value to someone else who liked them, and some picks that have such a low hit rate in this format (despite how fun they are to use and research).

I'll post some more thoughts once I'm able to draft one of my targets with that 2.10 tomorrow morning.
Well, this didn't go quite as planned. I'll say later what my pick would have been, but I actually ended up re-trading the 2.10 before using it, once it came on the clock.

Gave: 2.10
Got: Martellus Bennett

I haven't had picks yet. I am getting itchy.

At least you guys seem to move the picks along for the most part. All my rookie drafts take hours and hours between picks, and there is no ability to trade during the draft. Even the first pick generally takes half a day to be selected most times.

I think our pace is a little slower than normal so far. Round one took quite a while yesterday because lots of teams were trying to turn 1 pick into three via a trade down

I was actually disappointed with how impatient the owners were, made my experience a little enjoyable. In fact, we made more picks in 24 hours this year then we did last year.

One thing I can't stand is people complaining about owners taking time while on the clock. Oh well.

we have a limited window to finish 98 picks before the draft. Also last year was different we had to make allowances for MFL's 2 day down time that turned into a week. also we have to get as many picks in during the day as we can because our draft day ends earlier than most due to Amsterdam's 6 hour time difference. This league has always favored a get it go format. The funny thing is when it takes a while people following it usually complain. We talk trades but most of the owners who've been in the league a while do leg work before their pick is on the clock.. I give my owners a 24 hour clock in case of emergencies, work schedules and time zone differences. Not to draft at their leisure. This isn't an MFL10. Our draft is an event the entire league was formed around. The better and more consistent it's pace the more enjoyable it is for the ownership base as a whole.

But the owners shouldn't feel rushed, especially in the first round. And I'm not saying that since I owned half the draft. Take your time the first couple of rounds, if it takes you 3 days to do 2 rounds that's perfectly okay. The last few rounds should be much quicker, it's the same with start-up drafts. None of my picks were on the clock for more than 2 hours and I was the butt end of jokes all day. Not that I really care, just pretty disappointing to know we have owners that are extremely impatient and lack understanding.

For me, one of the joys of FF is negotiatiing deals while one of the parties is on the clock. I believe to rush through a draft misses much of the fun!

Funny how people get so excited for an up coming start-up or rookie draft, then once it starts they can't wait until it's over.
