?? I think that's pretty crazy...or requires a crazy amount of faith that Darnold is going to be on an entirely different level.
In a league where you NEED to start 2 qbs per week, 24 weekly qbs started, you would only take 8 qbs over a QB that for sure won't give you any stats for at least a season, and even then is a rookie that won't likely contribute on a highly successful basis for a couple years? Darnold, if he pans out to be highly successful (into the top 9 qbs), is likely a few years out from doing so...and in a must start 2 QB league, it's not like you don't need the QB depth that MATT RYAN (who you are passing on for Darnold) could give you over those 3 years.

You might want to rethink how much you are paying for those Devy picks. You're sacrificing YEARS of high level production for a hope in a college kid. Remember Matt Barkley was once the #1 QB prospect in the nation. So was Jake Locker, I believe. Matt Leinart was supposed to be pretty good. So was Vince Young. And Brady Quinn. This list could go on and on.
As you said, qbs are GOLD in a league like that. A devy QB is valuable, but taking him over numerous good currently starting QBs? Why sacrifice those years? Unless you are also rostering Rodgers luck Wilson dak, I don't understand passing on big QB production for a couple years to bet on a college QB in a start 2 league.

As I list my rankings, I will say that it's very encouraging to see Cam ranked as high as top 3 on some of these lists and to even be ranked at all. I am an owner of Cam in one of my leagues. I am very leery of him entering the season, however, I do think he's a talent and that is MVP season was not a fluke.

I am from Detroit and not sold on Stafford. I owned him once and traded him. And this was with CJ. He is so sporadic and inconsistent it's crazy. He has to prove himself to me. I could be making a mistake by ranking him so low on this list but I am willing to live with that.

Cam did not make the list simply because before last year he regressed each year and instead of thinking this was an off year, I choose to believe last year was. Luck is low because as I've stated before he's overrated and overhyped, he still made the list simply because he puts up fantasy numbers though. Lastly, I have the older guys like Brady and Ben and Rivers on there because even though this is dynasty and we like the young guys, the game is still ultimately about winning, so therefore I'm going to put the guys that have proven over and over again to produce in my top 12.

I am baffled by some owners rankings but that is what makes this little hobby of ours so interesting ; The difference of opinions gets tested on the field each and every year .
1) rodgers - until further notice - best thrower in league history
2) luck - over rated come on people he stands in the pocket through massive pressure and just carries that team - OLine will be improved ! top 10 every year he plays a full season and he is over rated ? OK , he was qb28 the year he missed 9 games !
3) wilson - coming off a sub par year another Oline in need of repair but with even mediocre line play he piles up big #
4) carr - young weapons galore assuming a feature back gets added in the draft or AP - solid OLINE
5) mariota - sky is the limit w/ this kid
6) brees - gold standard for stat compilers in a system based on piling stats more than winning games
7) ryan - agree w/ dog pound that 2016 could be an outlier and shanny jr. is off to frisco
8) Cam - not overly optimistic we haven't seen the best from the dabber
9) stafford - likely never reaches 2010 TD # again but still has many years left and still no running game in the motor city
10) cousins - I own him no where and likely won't but he has had 2 big time years & w/ gruden or traded to SF will still throw a lot
11) winston - Line play has improved and I think adding DJAX could really make life easier for jameis , be nice to add a feature back though.
12) wentz - This kid impressed but must stop acting like a crash test dummy or he won't ever reach his potential due to injuries.

brady rivers ben & eli all I would draft higher in a startup than a few guys on the list as I want to win every year , so I would attempt to pair one of these old guys with wentz or winston or dak who narrowly misses the list as I question whether the league will not catch up to him in year 2


a few guys I wouldn't roster except at gun point - bradford , dalton . flacco ,palmer, the browns QB until further notice , any of this years rookie qbs, & alex smith

couple other guys I would look to get cheap to pair with one of the old guys - tyrod , glennon, bortles hoping for a bounce back and maybe tannehill

who friggin knows texans jets , sf , rams ( wonder if sean mannion doesn't get a shot at some point ) & denver.

Great post. Although you forgot Dak. Thoughts? My Cowboys coated glasses might skew my opinion of him. But I feel like even though he has a great situation with his oline/running game, he also has a chip on his shoulder combined with high character and work ethic to maintain top 10 upside for the next decade.

Fair enough, although I feel like the league will be trying to 'catch up' with how to stop Zeke which will only open up more opportunity for Dak.

good point and until they slow zeke down if the league can dak should have a solid shot at replicating his terrific rookie # . Now the league vcan go all out and shut down zeke if they want to scheme for it but that only helps dak find more receivers with less coverage . I have always had a bit of an affinity for terrence williams as a cheap wr flyer but boys really need to add a field stretcher to complement zeke dez beasley and the running game. A guy like john ross likely gone by boys pick or even evan engram would be a terrific fit in that offense I think.
