Is there a way in MFL to show who bid for what players each week? I think that would be an interesting thing to add to my league if it's possible. Would have to talk it over with the commish first of course.
There is a report that the commish can enable that shows exactly that. Not just the winning bids but all the bids. For some reason, many people are opposed to this being available. I guess they don't want the world knowing their secret losing sauce recipe. I don't know. I've always tried to lobby for it being activated in my MFL leagues.
Putting in a bid on a player and then not getting him doesn't always mean someone else did. Last year there were times I had guys (like thielen) as conditional pick-ups if I didn't get another player I wanted more. If I get my other player and thielen (or like player) remains on waivers, I don't want attention noted on him for other league members to swap their garbage out for a better prospect they only take note on due to my conditional bid

Majority of answers in the 2.07-3.12 range. My lord he's a massive buy at that price. Your usually in the under 30% hit rate on rookies in that area, might even be lower. He's similar to welker/edelman, not in their play styles, but in the sense that he's a white WR who isn't going to be Calvin Johnson or anything, he just gets open and makes plays. He outplayed Diggs quite consistently in 2016 from what I saw and Diggs is way up there in ADP.

I like buying him at that price. The only thing that concerns me is he is a UFA and if the vikes believe that Treadwell will be able to replace his production then they will let him walk if someone offers him a solid deal. I think alot of his production is due to being in the system with the vikings for so long and having great chemistry with the QBs. They need to spend their available cap space on O-Line help and locking up their stud defensive players.

Being in the system for so long? You mean the typical 3rd year break out he had this year? He's been with Bradford just as long as Diggs and Treadwell.

I doubt they let him walk after how well he showed this year and he was only signed to a $600k salary. I doubt it takes more than a $1m a year contract for him to stay. He's the kind of guy that would give the hometown discount because he's born and raised in MN.

Plus he's a co-owner of a gym in mn...which I think he really enjoys being a part of.
Like most guys, he's going to grab big money if it presents itself...but I do think there is a small discount for the Vikes (his hometown team AND he stays near his side business. Maybe not though. Just speculation.

I scooped him off waivers late last season and he helped my 'ship run immensely. Bradford is the QB next season, let's say the same personnel stay in Minnesota, I love keeping him. If you can get him for a 2nd, that's solid value. He got some good looks in the RZ from Bradford as well. I'd love Diggs in 0.5ppr format, but he'll cost too much. Gimme the value on Thielen all day.

Any more thoughts on Thielen? I see quite a bit of competition for weekly touches with Cook, Treadwell, Diggs and Rudolph there.

Unless Treadwell has vastly improved his game Thielan should be locked in as the #3 target behind diggs and ruddy. Cook could factor in a bit but it is yet to be seen what the run game will look like.

Andy Carlson from the FTW Podcast was very high on him early last season, saying how impressive he was at camp. He even scoffed back then about Treadwell being able to take snaps away from him, entrenched as the WR2 on the team ... He was right, and he had a very good year. I would prefer Thielen over many WR options putting him in the top 100 which borders on buys like Tyrell, DJax, Britt ..

And listen, Treadwell is scrapping to get WR3, and Diggs is hurt often (any hint of groin injury, bench this guy), while Rudolph has seen an increase in targets, in reality Thielen really is the top option in this offense ..

Not hard to do based on last season. Still doesn't mean a whole lot necessarily. To put it into context, what type of improvement in actual production do you see him going to?

Thielen is legit. The dude is a baller. I'm excited to have the one share of him, he's probably my WR2 from here on out, which is both a knock on my WR corps but also a compliment to him!
