You know how frustrating its going to be watching Cam trying to throw screens with touch to McCaffrey

I've never seen him have trouble with the screens...... it's the 8-15 yarders that go 20 feet over the receivers head that boggle my mind... he's never had a problem hitting Tolbert, Stewart or Whittaker on a screen... Honestly, the screens were Tolbert's best play...

Yeah, they've used Tolbert a bunch like that over the years. I think McCaffrey is going to have a huge year in PPR leagues, I think it was a good pick by the Panthers.

I definitely like the move for the Panthers, I don't know what to expect in fantasy.
If I had to guess, I would say McCaffrey gets a few carries, but mostly works the pass catching back route, sort of the opposite of Fournette being the pounder while maybe Yeldon makes the catches. Should be a solid PPR guy, I've seen some compare McCaffrey to Shady, but I actually think Gio, maybe Gio+ is about what I expect out of McCaffrey.

He's more Shady than Gio, but his best comp is Brian Westbrook.

I think it's a solid spot for McCaffrey, not great not terrible. I like him a lot as a player, but I'm still having a hard time putting him any higher on my board than 3.

What do people really think of CMC? People talk like they don't trust him yet he consistently gets drafted 1.02-1.04. His preseason play has been great so far. I have picks 1.03 and 1.04 this year. Fournette and Davis are going 1.01 and 1.02. Most of my advise has been Mixon and Cook but why not CMC? Is he considered gimmicky like Tyreek Hill? Is anyone out there that thinks he's "undervalued"?

I was unsure before preseason but after watching him i think he is a very very special player. Even if he's not an every down back he will be an RB1. Thaats what I think anyway.

I believe in him. People that don't believe in him think that he's too small or too much of a gadget player.

The fact is, his versatility is a major supplement to his rushing ability. People mistake his pass-catching ability as a sign that he's more of a passing-down, space back. But he's big enough and competent enough between the tackles to be a true all-around RB.

I don't expect him to handle a David Johnson workload throughout his career, but I see no reason why he won't command 12 - 16 carries/game and 3 - 5 catches/game. I'm buying him (if I could).

I think he is somewhere in the middle. Is that an option? He has talent for sure, but I don't see him as an every down back. He'll have a slightly better career than Reggie Bush, which isn't bad and I think he caught 80 balls his rookie year.

Go with your gut. Simple as that. I've said as much in a couple threads but I think he could very well turn out to be the best RB in this class.

I agree skip .. I vote Gold, his run off the right guard last game pretty much ended any doubt I may have had, such a feel and vision of the game ..

And honestly all the talk about Cam not good at throwing the short pass, who cares, this kid is going to go wild just running.. catches will be a bonus, not inherent to his value..

I would easily take CMC @ 1.03 now. His stock is rising now with 2 excellent-looking preseason games. He looks to be utilized the same way as Bell & DJ, since he catches the ball so well.

I think he's fantasy gold in PPR/return leagues. But, in non-PPR, I wouldn't touch him. I don't think Carolina will use him as an everydown back and will eventually look for a more traditional RB to replace Stewart's early down work.
