Bishop Sankey in MIN

Postby DecafMaverick » Thu Jan 26, 2017 7:48 am

Anything to see here? He has signed a futures deal with them, and will be added to their active roster on March 9. There have been a few futures deals guys that have been good pickups over the past few years. What thinks you?

I know the people who burned early 1st round picks on this guy really really want to see him get an opportunity somewhere. It isn't going to happen.

Are you one of the guilty parties that drafted him in the 1st? I am...

Not a ton to get excited about with him. Good end of the bench stash imo. I wasn't an investor in his as far as drafting goes. I'm quite sure he was overdrafted in most leagues based off his percievied positive landing spot. Well, That never worked out. (NOTE to all that overvalue draft picks - pay attention to this!). Anyway, Nice that that he got signed for him and his family. But, Mn has some work to do on their O-line as they were #32 out of 32 in rushing offense if I'm not mistaken. It pains me greatly to think of AP not being a Viking. And that is likely to happen. It hurt to watch just how the injuries piled up and just how poor the pass protection and run blocking was... Ugh.

Sankey is probably worth a FA/WW add in deeper leagues, maybe trade a late 4th for him if you believe. Outside of that, no thanks.

No, but I did him as my RB2 in a startup that year... I do still actually think he is good though!

In super deep leagues he is worth a stash.

I would put the likelihood of this becoming anything around 1%.

I was pretty high on Sankey two years ago, actually gave up a 1st for him...ouch. Agree with the above, little to no chance he amounts to much of anything.

Great measurables just like... McKinnon. Maybe between the two of them one will succeed with all that athleticism. But then Asiata will vulture the TDs.

Actually this is what I was thinking. I don't think sankey gets a shot without a McKinnon injury, but I think he's similar and can step right into that role if McKinnon gets injured. Not a bad guy for the Vikes to have on the practice squad
And yes, I think McKinnon has talent. Just a breathtakingly horrible line
