Looks like that knee is acting up. There is a shocker. Too bad as I was looking forward to see how the Year played out. Even the inevitable.

Knees swell often, especially twice surgically repaired knees. It doesn't mean he can't play on it. Also, MRIs are performed all the time.
Having an MRI of a twice repaired swollen knee is concerning, but not concerning enough to write him off.

Hope for the best. It could be a really entertaining game this weekend with the Steelers and Vikings ... not nearly as much if Bradford can't play.

Surprised?
Sadly ... no.
But still hopeful. :ewink:

This is supposed to be Bradford's year!! One of the easiest passing defense schedules this season. I hope the MRI was just precautionary and doesn't affect his play.

Yeah I don't get the Sam Bradford isn't good at throwing deep. He was always above average downfield I thought.
Not having options getting downfield or having the time to get it there is a different problem imo

Traded Flacco for Bradford in a 16 team superflex before the season. The intention of the move was to get younger, I didn't expect him to be QB #3. News like this makes me not trust him long-term, at what point should I move him for another QB? My other starter is Tyrod Taylor, who scores like QB #5 and is valued like QB #25, which is crazy but makes him worth far more to me than I could trade him for. Is Bradford going to be in a similar situation, perpetually undervalued like Tyrod Taylor? Or will people start to see him as a solid starter so that I can trade him for someone like Goff, Cousins, or Trubisky, or a mid-1st to get a rookie next season?

“Cerebral assassin.” Despite many people disliking the guy for how much he’s been paid, he’s a solid qb (when healthy) and he sounds like he’s an ideal mentor, which I think is an underrated aspect to consider for Rosen’s future.
Also, I feel like Bradford is a good, very inexpensive QB gamble to take this year, for you “last to invest in a QB” roster builders.

I picked up Bradford on waivers this past season. I'm holding him as a 3rd QB on my team right now. I have hopes that he can shake the nagging injuries that have plagued him. It's unlikely. But at the same time, deep roster leagues should target a guy like Bradford late because when he plays, he plays at a high level.

I have a feeling Bradford could have a nice 2nd career as a QB coach when he finally has to retire. :)

The Jags were reportedly hunting for QB help at the trade deadline. Not clear what kind of player they were looking for. Bradford would be an interesting signing at this stage. Give him a few weeks to learn and they'd have an upgrade on Kessler if they bench Bortles in the playoffs.

After reading Valhalla's posts on this matter, I'm starting to question having Nick Foles in my top 10.

In another universe...where Bradford plays in a good system and doesn't get his knees blown out over and over again...

If only he was drafted into today's Flag Football league. I was also a believer barring injury, but I knew it was never going to happen
