JGD, just a few points:

I would suggest doing a Superflex, not a 2QB league. Also, QB scoring should be watered down, especially so that their floors are lower. Silly to have crap QBs still scoring 8-12 points regularly. Floors should be in the 2-5 point range. The best way to do this is to devalue yards. 2pts per 100 is good (or 0.02 pts per yard). You can always give bonus for 300 plus.

You should do separate auctions for Offensive and Defensive players. This applies to both startup and subsequent years. The more league events the better. The same applies to rookie drafts. Have one for each. This way its also easier to assign GM responsibilities to multiple individuals.

Lastly, the rookie draft slot auction should use the franchise cap. Not sure if I misunderstood, but it seems that you are saying there will be a separate, dedicated fund for the initial rookie draft slot auction. That would not work as people will burn their whole allocation. Whereas if you use the franchise cap, people have to be careful not to use too much of their cap space, otherwise they will have a disadvantage during the two veteran auctions.

Also, you mention 98 contracts years once and 104 elsewhere. My recommendation is to go as low as possible. Lower promotes more player turnover, which means more active auctions. Bear in mind, people roster FEWER players in salary cap leagues. Whereas its typical to have a bench that is 1.5 times as large as your starting roster in standard dynasty... in salary cap leagues, you tend to have less than 1x.

With 25 starters, I'd imagine franchises will carry about 10 bench players per side of play. Total rosters of around 45. If you apply the 1.75 contract multiplier, you get to about 80 years, not 98. That's what I'd recommend. Sounds low. Yes, but it will make GM duties more critical and create much better auctions. Maybe go 85.

Oh, and you want to have at least 12 players on the auction block. If you limit it to 4, player valuations will be HEAVILY skewed and INCONSISTENT and the draft will take forever. 12 is good because each franchise can nominate 1 player and, thereafter, the winner of a player can nominate another player. That's how we do it in USFL Supeflex.

It works well and keeps valuations steady and the pace of the auction is good.

Fumles Lost at -4 is way high, imho.

My wife would kill me if she saw this . . .

but I'd possibly go in if there was someone with a ton of IDP experience who would want to handle IDP at the GM and Defensive Coordinator level and possibly Offensive Coordinator (if not, I'd hire an OC separately). I'd want to Own the franchise and GM the Offensive side.

Would probably allocate 50% of winnings to the IDP GM/DC, to get the best of the best.

Oh boy.....due to a new job I cut 90% of my leagues this year....I could see this being the one and only addition I make. This sounds amazing, and I would absolutely be interested in a role.

Put me on the list for Owner/GM or Coach. I love the idea and not having to FULLY run the team, but more so oversee it or pay attention to one aspect of it.

Yeah Coogan. I'm definitely happy to be a DC for a team. I anticipate many long, angry conversations about why the GM wont give me enough budget for that one player that will push us over the edge... Not to mention any chance to go H2H against the IDP crew on here is always fun. I certainly want to get one over FiremanEd.
