Just bumping this from 8 years ago - due in in part to the current speculation about Brady vs. Belichick.

I dont think it is meaningless to remind people that every year there seems to be some sort of drama going in in NE and it all turns out to be nada as they roll on to another 12 win season.

I never thought I'd see Joe Montana in any uniform but the Niners.
I never thought I'd see Marcus Allen in any uniform but the Raiders.
I never thought I'd see Emmitt Smith in any uniform but the Cowboys.

The list continues.

Can't imagine Tom somewhere else, but the few examples I posted tell it's a possibility. The only reason it may never happen is Toms relationship with Kraft. As much as Kraft loves Bill and appreciates his acheivements, he loves Tom Brady like his own son. Love get's thrown around alot in sports, but I really think Kraft loves Brady in the truest sense.

If it ever came down, I see Bill leaving before Tom get's cut loose.

Tom Brady value?

Postby Jcedwards » Sun Jul 08, 2018 5:38 pm

He is still an elite option, but his years are limited. I have a roster that I think will compete for a championship this year, but I need an upgrade at QB.

What would you pay for him?

That would be a fair offer. I'm in the same boat and have thought about acquiring Brady too

Thinking about going all in and getting Brady. I think he at least has 1 more good season left in him. I know he says that he will play till 45, but I don’t believe that. I don’t want to pay too much, but I do think that he will take my team over the top for this year.

I’ve also thought the same about Luck. He is elite when healthy and early reports are good. I may can get him on the discount.

I’m trying to trade for him. I’ve got a really good team, so I feel like he will be a great option to hopefully lead me to a championship this year. I just don’t know what to spend on him.

The talent isn't really the issue..nor is the age. Its more the hunger to compete vs the hunger to stay at home and spend more time with his hot bleep wife and young kids. He's been QB 1, QB 2, QB 10 and QB 20 the last 4 seasons..not in that order. (4pt td pass scoring)
