Adam Humphries: The Humpty Hump or Humpty Dumpty?

Postby Dynasty DeLorean » Sun Sep 25, 2016 3:06 pm

Seems like a player. With ASJ's implosion and VJax's decline, Humphries is seemingly the 2nd best receiving option on a team that looks to throw early and often.

Week 1: 3 for 34
Week 2: 6 for 67
Week 3: 9 for 100

Seems to be getting close to a must-own player, in PPR leagues at least.

Seems like a capable slot receiver and the opportunity is there for a lot of targets. I think he's about a Cole Beasley level talent, so nothing special, but if the team likes him and keeps using him, then he's a cheap start in PPR leagues with deep lineups.

I agree with Giles. Seems like an average talent (relatively speaking of course) in a good situation. Appears to have the trust of Jameis and an opportunity. I don't expect him to win any fantasy games for anyone, but I think he could be a solid floor type to use as a fill-in. I feel like he is going to be an underrated type who works hard and consistently puts up WR3/Flex numbers but doesn't get the recognition because of his low ceiling (in my opinion).

I concur with the rest that he's nothing special. He's one of those players that pop up every season that can be very useful for owners in PPR leagues if you're dealing with injuries or bye weeks. VJax appears to be about done, and I think Humphries is the #2 target by default right now. He's not going to carry your fantasy teams to a championship, but if you need to plug 10-15 points into your lineup, Humphries should prove to be a solid WW pickup.

I think for a young QB, he's going to be as important an asset as a TE. They lost ASJ, and Jackson isn't getting any younger. Humphries is a good player, and he's from a school that has produced some highly coveted WR's, I think he's definitely worth rostering.

He's a young slot WR that is being put into a situation to shine on a pass heavy team with a terrible D. Reminds me of Edelman, Welker, and Beasely, though I can't tell why... I'm bidding on him and dumping Ty Montgomery.

Being a contender this year and somewhat relying on Hump (deep starting line up & WR25, 15ppg) would you trade him for a 2017 2nd? If not, what would it take for you to move him?

I would trade him for a 2nd where I have him (12 Tm PPR, up to 5 WR).

It shoulda been Kenny Bell, sniff.

Situation reminds me of Bryan Walters of the Jags last year, he had a few good games.

Not difficult here, if you were able to sell him for a 2nd Round Pick you should cry tears of happiness because you just got away with murder.

Comes from a WRU in Clemson, we'll see if he can continue to be a favorite of Winston's. Wouldn't hold my breath but enough upside is there, I'd say.

I just picked him up and might be forced to start him and/or Beasley due to bye and injuries. Hoping for 1 more week of 10 ish points and I'll be happy.

Agree on Beasley. Disagree on Edelman. Edelman is a far better athlete, metrics-wise.
