League/Team Banners

Hey everyone,

I've joined a couple leagues this off-season that use team banners. How do people create these? Sorry if I'm being dumb. Thinking about proposing the idea to my home league. I'm just curious how difficult/expensive they are. I know very little HTML code if that's required. Do you need a software?

Banners could mean a few things. Do you have an example?

I think it all depends on how deep you want to go down that rabbit hole. You can do some basic banners yourself using Photoshop or another photo editor.

There are also several people, many on this message board, that do graphics and coding work. I have been very happy with the work over at MyFantasyGraphics (http://www.myfantasygraphics.com/) but there are others that also do great work.

LOVE that first league with the unis! I am big on pro looking leagues with standardized logos/helmets, just looks more professional. Not a fan of the hodge-podge leagues with some teams having helmets, some having pictures, some having nothing, some teams in all caps, some with no caps, etc.

The graphics don't need to be anything special, but a league needs to have some graphic standards, even if its as simple as the size of banner everyone needs to have. 350 x 75 works pretty good on MFL. That is what I have at USFL Superflex.

Creating banners and graphics can either be done with photoshop or Gimp or I know a few people in my league have used a guy on twitter that will make a player image pack for like $10. In order to make the banner look right, you do have to do a little CSS coding but if you have a specific question, I'm sure we could help you find the setting you want. Here are a few leagues I did the banners and adjusted the CSS a bit to fit what I wanted.
