Manningham vs Avery
Who would you rather have; Mario Manningham or Donny Avery? Why?

Long term I think Avery has more TD scoring potential..simply based on talent. Imagine if he went somewhere and wasnt stuck in Stl.
Not that he would be great but for the purpose of this poll I think he would still produce more than Manningham.
Manningham also needs to work a lil more on some route running and keeping his 2 feet in bounds. Also see Nicks and S. Smith. Are there enuff balls around to get him some decent production. I dunno.?

The entire offensive situation is a complete unknown in St Louis other than SJax. On that alone, I'd lean Manningham. I also believe the Giants will head into next season with he and Smith as the 1-2 with Nicks coming in on 3 WR sets.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I think Avery has a better chance of becoming a #1, but I am not sure he is capable of being a #1. And I am not sure the #1 on St. Louis really has much value, at least not for a 2 or 3 more years. Manningham will still get plenty of work in New York and he is only an injury away from being a reliable every week starter. Nicks has impressed me but hasn't proven to be durable yet.
Absolutely False. The rams have 3 very young and VERY talented WR's in Avery, Robinson, and Gibson...the only uknown in their offense is their QB and O-Line....skip wrote:The entire offensive situation is a complete unknown in St Louis other than SJax. What in God's name did you see this year that would indicate that???? funny stuffskip wrote:The entire offensive situation is a complete unknown in St Louis other than SJax. Avery.
Manningham has been too erratic and not only that, I think Nicks is will be their WR2. Let's not forget Barden, who could emerge to fill the vacuum from the loss of Plax .
The Giants WR2 is a very muddled situation. It's like trying to pick who will be the Colts WR2 when Gonzo gets back. Full-blown WRBC, imo.
At least Avery is the Rams' WR1, and I'd rather have a sure thing than a "place your bets who will get the targets".
