The kid needs to get into treatment (aka justin Blackmon) and needs to not be heard from for a year or two. Maybe then he can work his way back onto a roster somewhere. He has undeniable talent. But is undeniably an idiot.

Interesting. Was he in a rehab program that prevented drinking?

His DUI last summer triggered testing to include alcohol as well.

Urine screens can obviously detect alcohol if someone has been drinking right before they provide a sample but there are also urine screens that can detect a chemical breakdown of alcohol for up to 72 hours after usage. I bet Gordon isn't willing to leave his friends and old lifestyle behind, it is a really hard thing for anyone to do.

Anyone with him on their roster had this coming. Can't feel bad given how many opportunities they had to move, or the risk people took buying into him. He'd done nothing to show he could stay clean through college or in the NFL, so unsure why people thought he suddenly would start now.
