To address my trades:

Goff trade-I have been starved for a franchise qb in this league since it started. I have never been a darnold truther. Thought it was a decent price to pay for what should be an elite qb for the next decade. The main piece I gave up was donta but who knows if he ever can come back, and there are rumbles Houston May sign bell.

Gore- eh. I needed a rb for this week to have a chance to win. Gave up humphries, only thing I had to offer

I like both trades for both sides based on where they are right now - its tough for me as a USC fan I really believe Darnold can make it big but I think after Mahomes Goff is the best young QB right now.

I love little random oddities - so I LOL'd today when I noticed my scores in both my win & loss to ericanadian were almost identical.

Loss: 88.25 to 65.25
Win: 65.85 to 58.90

In other words my team produced an almost identical score but the results were completely different due to circumstances out of my control aka ericanadians team score.

i'll chime in here on my move aswell. had been trying to move arod/goff/smith since the offseason, but wasnt able to find a suitor. a common theme that ive noticed in leagues that have been running a few years is that often times rosters fill with contributing players or prospects that shouldnt be dropped. somtimes you can find an owner looking to upgrade a position at the expense of some draft/prospect capital. the perfect example with this trade.

at minimum, i think darnold is a startable qb play long term and then the package of prospects and picks makes it worth filling my roster with some hopeful valued commodities in the future.

And that is really all you can hope for! You make the best decisions with the information you have at the time and and hope that it works out in your favor. Obviously further research can hopefully help ensure that the draft pick selections have better than normal odds.

Kamara had the lowest total for any of S5s players as they romped through knotts like it was a playoff scrimmage tune-up.

In a matchup that came down to the wire, Jonnu Smith matched Dion Lewis pretty much point for point and helped steeveb avoid getting spoiled by Jules.

The acquisition of Goff and return of Gurley may come at no better time for nation31 as CMC carries Dookmariot into a 3 way tie in the Black division.

They say that fantasy football is a game of skill. Perhaps but it is also a game of luck - at least luck in the sense of when you meet certain opponents & what they are able to bring to the table. Here ArrylT wins a matchup with the 2nd lowest score of the week, while in another league he loses one while having the 2nd highest score of the week.

Personally even if my team is not playoff bound - I still prefer to win than to lose - if my winning helps spoil another teams playoff chances. There was none of that this week but I did get my first ever 2 game win streak in DLF HOF - so that is always an accomplishment.
