Naanee or Floyd, with the declining Chambers

Postby Guppy CEO » Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:32 pm

All indications are that Chambers is done in SD after this season, who is everyone targeting for next season? I'm thinking of nabbing Naanee

I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring in another WR in the offseason.

I'd say Naanee over Floyd, but they could grab an new WR in the offseason, but if they do you just drop Naanee then.

Same.

they dont need another WR...thus i dont see them addressing the WR position too much...Floyd and Naanee will hold them over for a bit...RB and Defense are their top priorities to address during free agency and draft...WR is near or at the bottom.

I like Floyd. I've had him since last year and when given the chance to take Chambers spot, as he did last year when Chambers got hurt, Floyd will produce. He looked good tonight and had quite a few passes thrown his way.

both are better long term answers than Hixon and Wade so it wouldn't be a bad move.

My vote is Naanee. Great hands, super athlete, and Rivers has a good connection with him. Can't find any substantiation right now, but I've read reports the last two offseasons/preseasons about those two getting extra work in together and really clicking.

That sucks. Now that he is released, there is no way Floyd will make it all the way down to me in free agency.

Me neither. I'm curious to see where he will catch on as I don't think he is quite done yet.

Smooth. That is a potent passing game in SD. Hopefully one of those guys can emerge as a viable fantasy WR option opposite VJax.
