Rosen/Darnold

Mayfield

Jackson - I like his skills, just not sure the "experts" in the NFL do too.

Allen/Rudolph - don't think either will be starters in the league very long, if at all.

Look at Goff's first two years as an example - not good with Fisher, but much better with McVay.

That first sentence just about sums it up for me too haha.

For fantasy, I'd rank them:

1. Lamar Jackson (assuming he's a top 15-20 pick - if he falls to mid 2nd, I'm worried that he becomes a WR or won't start at QB for a year or 2)

2. Rosen

3. Mayfield

4. Darnold

5. Josh Allen

6. Rudolph MIGHT be worth drafting in 1QB leagues, as he may be an early day 2 guy. No other QB should be drafted in rookie drafts, unless it's QB-Premium.

Talent wise I have them
1. Mayfield
2. Darnold
3. Lamar Jackson
4. Rosen
I think the top 3 have a chance to be elite whilst Rosen has the ceiling of Alex Smith. My only concern for Mayfield is his off field antics but I believe he is a winner with exceptional accuracy. Not sure if Lamar will translate to the NFL but if he does look out, and Darnold I believe could be a Wentz type story. I can see Darnold improving every year under the right coaching

Pre-Draft Opinion
Rosen
Jackson
Mayfield
Darnold
Allen
Lauletta
Rudolph

These are the only QBs I reviewed...dynasty FF rankings not NFL draft rankings.

Other than Rosen, it will depend on who drafts them. I see a few of the options as capable in certain systems, but very likely to flame out in others.

Rosen

Darnold
Mayfield
Jackson

Allen

Lauletta

Wow?! Really? His ceiling is extremely high, but he makes so many bonehead decisions, and his footwork is terrible. The footwork can be corrected, but the mental aspect of the game is my biggest concern. He would be best suited going to a team where he would sit for a year. If he starts from day 1 it could be a disaster.

Combine didn't really change anything for me

Rosen
Allen

Mayfield
Darnold

Jackson

Lauletta
Rudolph
Falk

I think Jackson can run and being a starter he would be a solid fantasy play but I am not sure I see a scheme independent NFL QB. Hopefully it works out and he can get an offense that suits him and some solid coaching

Targeting today Pre-Draft by tier:

Mayfield/Darnold

Rosen/Jackson

Allen/Rudolph

People have already said it but we've seen how teams have invested in their Offensive coaching staff and watched it pay dividends so far: Philly, Rams, maybe the Bears are next....I'd feel more comfortable taking say Darnold with NYG (Shumur) over Rosen or Allen with NYJ/Buffalo (McDermott and his OC etc)

If you are in a 1 QB league, why wouldn't you swing for the fences and draft Jackson or Allen first?

I don't think any QB is a can't miss prospect, so why not draft the person with the most up side. If he bombs out, you can always acquire a serviceable starter, it's not like you would do long-term damage the way a bust would hurt a real NFL team. Just my $0.02.
