I didn't know where to put this topic so I just decided to put it here.
I am starting a new dynasty league with my friends and currently have 8 owners which includes myself.
Looking like it will be a Dynasty PPR league with 30 player rosters and 8 player taxi squad for rookies and 2nd year players.
Do you guys think 8 owners is too small of a number that everyone's roster would be super "stacked" or do you think that is enough so that some teams would be forced to play some younger players who have potential but aren't sure fire studs.
I just don't want this league to be full of players and then there is no "strategy" to who you keep and draft in rookie drafts because of such few owners owning 38 total players a piece.
What do you guys think?

Re: New Dynasty League Question
12 teams is the norm...25-30 man rosters w/out IDP. Typical rosters/starters are 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1PK and 1 Team D
DLF IDP Invitational (Commish)

Re: New Dynasty League Question
Like others touched on 8 man leagues with typical starting requirements leave every owner stacked. Would definitely add to the starting requirements with 2 QB (or super flex) at minimum). I enjoy my 8 teamer due to working with the owners giving us ample time to talk smack and make trades but I would love to see starters expanded to 2/2/3/1 with 3-4 flex players. Current setup is 1/2/3/1 with 2 flex (1 super) and most every team is stacked. The upside to this type of league is it keeps everyone involved as they feel like they can compete every year and is a good starting point to get owners involved in dynasty. The downside is it can be boring for experienced owners as there is less strategy as you discussed. I would seek 12 owners or more if you want more of a challenge. If you have a hard time finding that many owners who are not afraid of the challenge start off as a keeper and transition to dynasty. 5-6 keepers year 1, 7-8 year 2, 9-10 in 3, etc.
