I am contending this year (3-0) and have Luck, Mayfield, Carr, and Allen as my other QBs. It is 1 QB for this year but a SF roster spot is being added next year. Team 1 in sig

Ya I would take it and go for the win now, plus you have some solid depth and potential built up in your QBs to withstand the hit next year. You don't have to have stud QB's in SF/2QB formats to win, you just need to be able to put out 2 quality starters each week which you will still be able to do.

He still has Luck and Mayfield, both are quality QB starters and Luck is elite. He could use another stud WR to pair with OBJ.

Looks to be one of those deals which is dependant on what is your preference - either way you have a 'stud' at a key position. Guessing the other owner is looking to the future SF position being added.

If SuperFlex is being incorporated next year, you should keep Mahomes.

I’d admit getting Hopkins in return is a very good price, but a part of me thinks the Mahomes and Reid combo is so good that he’ll consistently put up 4500/40 stat lines for years.

I’d hold for now and wait for the other owners to get DESPERATE for QBs after this season and the SF spot is officially introduced. At that point you can hand pick which QB to unload after having another year to see what Mayfield and Allen do.

Maybe at that point you can deal away one of your “lesser” QBs for a WR AND picks.

Nobody in their right mind would trade Mahomes for Hopkins. I'd need 1.01 on top of Hopkins to even consider it.
