Can This Team Win This Year?

Just finished a 12 team Superflex PPR start-up. I wavered back and forth during the draft trying to decide between punting this year and setting up for 2019 or try to stay somewhat young but also compete now. The way the draft unfolded I thought there were many values to be had but I now have many players** that will miss time this year along with young guys a year or two away.

Can I compete this year or just make some moves for next year and beyond?

I don't know how you came out of a start-up with Rodgers, Wentz, OBJ, and Hunt, but nice job there. Without seeing the other rosters in your league, it looks to me like you're probably a year away from competing.

I'm assuming auction start-up? I think you can compete if you want to, but it would require selling guys like Guice, Ridley, and Henry for players who can help you now. If you'd rather rebuild, then start selling guys like Manning and Olsen. Either way, you need to decide soon and make some moves.

Don't think you can compete this year. You're too thin (given injuries and rookies) at wr and rb. I think you're a year or two away from being competitive

Agree with Ditka that you'd have to make some trades in order to compete this year. If not, it's a solid roster to build around and hopefully start competing a year from now.
