Mixon/L. Jackson for Gurley

Postby KAT » Mon Aug 06, 2018 10:22 am

Which side do you prefer?

If you think it’s not close, what kind of pick/s would you need to bridge the gap?

I don't think this is even close to Gurley. Mixon and Jackson have high ceilings, sure, but even if they both reach them this trade at best becomes even. I'd need a very high 1st added at minimum.

12-team SF, PPR, TE premium, 0.25 PPCarry
1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1SF 4Flex
QB: Mahomes, Fields, Love
RB: Bijan, ETN, Pollard, Achane, Herbert
WR: Kupp, Hill, Metcalf, Ridley, Jeudy, D.J. M, Burks, Hollywood, Wan'Dale
TE: Kyle Pitts, Goedert

Mixon - needs a good 2018 for him to even sniff being an upper echelon RB
Jackson - I don't dislike Jackson, but I believe more in Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen over him and would only take him if it was him or Josh Allen.

It's wishful thinking but would it be crazy to say that you could do this trade again at the end of 2018 even if all 3 had good/great years? Because Jackson and Mixon would need to prove something big time for me to send Gurley away.

IF Lamar and Mixon reach their potential ceilings, then I think the trade is worth it in superflex. However, thats all maybe and gambling on good training camp news/hype and preseason, which don't indicate anything concrete. You know how high Gurley can go, he showed it his rookie season, he showed it last year.

Gurley side by a lot. If you feel you must do it now, like everyone said, a minimum first rounder is needed

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’m gonna stay put. Both because my guys are going to be worth a lot more in November (I hope).

And gurley’s value is at its absolute peak (right??)

Well, your last post could change things:

if you're the one trying to trade away Mixon + Jackson...I'd now be tempted...if I was selling Gurley, no way I'd take that deal today...too many unknowns.

If you’re the one getting gurley for those 2...go for it!! If you’re the gurley seller however, I definitely wouldn’t

Realistically to land Gurley you need to put a better QB in the offer than Lamar Jackson. It's presumptuous at this point to project him as a starter anytime in the near term.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
