So in a 12 team 4 point TD, -2 for INT league who would you rather have until Jameis gets back?
Tannehill, Bortles or Flacco? That's pretty much all that is left. I have Mariota, Mason Rudolph and Jameis.

Re: QB Question
All three of these guys have obvious warts, which is probably why you are asking.
Bortles:
positives: youngest. no legit backup behind him. relatively safe early season schedule
negatives: is he any good?, primarily rushing attack for Jax, probably the wildest range of outcomes from total bust to solid QB2
Tannehill:
positives: youngish, no legit backup behind him, relatively safe early season schedule,
negatives: questions about his ability, supporting cast, and health
Flacco:
positives: relatively secure 2018 role, most experienced, large changes in offensive skill positions from 17 to 18
negatives, oldest, legit 1st round QB behind him, recent slump, early season schedule could be tough, large changes in offensive skill positions from 17 to 18
So, taking the lists i made into account. I think Tannehill and Bortles probably have the best potential upside for the first 3 weeks, as well as long term value because of their youth. I think all three QBs may still be relevant in 2019 regardless of whether they stay on their current teams or not. Of the three, Bortles has the highest ADP and therefore carries the most value, right now. My gut says take tannehill as the best combination of age and security, but Bortles is probably the best pick today.

Thank you. I was leaning Tannehill myself.Ravenous wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 6:58 pm All three of these guys have obvious warts, which is probably why you are asking.

Re: QB Question
Bortles easily if you don't need him long-term. We've seen he can produce plenty of fantasy QB1 games.

Re: QB Question
1. Bortles
2. Tannehill
3. Flacco
Hypothetically, all 3 of these guys could get replaced in 2018 or 2019. Probably not Bortles unless he utterly bottoms out but Miami was heavily rumored to take a QB in 2018 and I don't see them skipping on one relieving any pressure on Tannehill long-term. I'm taking Bortles all day.

Re: QB Question
you are correct about miami looking to snag a QB in 2018, they passed. The same can be said about Jax, where several rumors surrounded them taking a QB, or perhaps trading for a solid vet to sit behind Bortles. They also passed. I would put both QBs on the "hot seat". Don't quote me on Bortles contract, but im fairly certain that Jax isn't locked in long term either.Servo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:37 am 1. Bortles
