Start up draft advice

Postby dhanks91 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 11:46 am

12 team SF
.5 ppr for rbs .25ypc
1 ppr for wrs
5point tds for QBs

Have pick 1.03 in the start up.
Feel like I’d have a tough time passing up on either gurley, zeke or obj in this spot, but I’m wondering if this is too early for a qb like Wilson or wentz? This is my second sf start up and I didn’t put enough emphasis on the qb position the first time around. With the way the league scores, I’m hoping to get 2 rbs and 2 QBs in my first 4 picks in no particular order.

All advice is appreciated, thanks !

if you want to guarantee a top tier guy....Wilson, Rodgers, Wentz; then you will need to take them here as they will likely not be available at the 2/3 turn. The highest tier of RBs will also be gone...so pick your poison. There are still solid guys available at the 2/3 turn though, no matter which way you go.
Too many teams and lineup changes to keep track of them all.

Ended up taking Wilson at 3. Currently have this offer on the table:

1.11 for 3.03(27), 9.03 (99) & a 2019-1. The way the draft is playing out I might have a chance at obj, brown or Hopkins with number 11. Is this good value? Told the other owner I was going to wait till closer to the pick. Through 7 picks, 6 rbs have come off the board

Oh yeah if Beckham or Hopkins drop that far. Think of it this way: you'd be trading someone like Corey Davis + Kenny Golladay + 2019 1st for Hopkins or Beckham...

When I did my start up draft for Team 1 last year. I took David Johnson in the 1st and in the 2nd/3rd round I took QB's. Wasn't taking the risk of missing out. Then i went WR/WR/WR/RB/QB/WR/RB/WR.

I know it's an old post, but I figured i'd reply for any new people that are interested.
