2018 vs 2019 picks

Postby jomaed » Mon Jul 02, 2018 7:16 pm

What's the gap needed for you to trade an 18 for 19 1st? Lets say its the 2018 1.07-1.08 range. Obviously the 2019 will be just a projection, but how confident would you need to be that it would be at least (fill in the blank) to make the move to wait a year.

Because there are five relevant QBs to be drafted this year you can’t flip that pick for a 19. There is too much talent in the top 12 in Superflex this year.

It depends?

If the pick looks to be top-4 or top-5 and highly unlikely to be lower than a mid-pick, then I'd consider it. If it looks more like a mid-pick or an unknown, then I would definitely need something on top. A 2nd in 2018 or 2019 would likely do it for me.

In passing, what I've been reading of 2019 on paper today it looks like:

- QBs could be weak

- WR could be monsters

- RBs may not have same pedigree as 2018

This is such an amazing year for SF rookie drafts that it would take a lot for me to trade out. Very rarely do 5 QBs go in Round 1 and even if you don’t need a QB it’ll push all the RBs and WRs down the board. In a 20 team SF draft I had 3 1st round picks and I regret trading out of the mid 1st for 2019 picks after seeing who fell to 1.14.
Team 1 - 12 team PPR

TE: JSmith, ISmith, ZErtz

Team 2 - 16 team, PPR, SF

RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, BSnell, TGurley, DGuice
WR: JChase, BAiyuk, CSutton, THiggins, JJeudy, JReagor, BEdwards
