12 Team Superflex *Super Draft*

Postby Lions_Pride09 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 1:30 pm

The initial draft will be a snake draft combining all players from the three sports: baseball, football, and basketball. Every player is eligible, including rookies for the initial draft.

Rosters: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Flex, Superflex, 20 Bench Spots, 2 IR.
Scoring: .5 PPR, .1 points per 1 yards rushing, .1 points per 1 yards receiving, .04 points per 1 yard passing, 6 points for rushing/receiving TD, 4 points for passing TD, -2 fumble lost/interception, 2 point conversion for passing/rushing/receiving 2 points.

Never done a draft like this and it is challenging to say the least

So far I have: Parentheses is round drafted.

NFL
QB - Marcus Mariota (8th)
RB x2 - Devonta Freeman (5th)/Jerick McKinnon (9th)
WR x3 - Antonio Brown (2nd)
TE -
FLEX x2 -
SUPERFLEX -
BENCH x20

NBA
PG -
SG - Victor Oladipo (4th)
G -
SF - Paul George (7th)
PF -
F -
C - Karl-Anthony Towns (1st)
FLEX x3
BENCH x12

MLB
C –
1B –
2B –
SS – Trea Turner (3rd)
3B –
MI –
CI –
OF x4 – Andrew Benintendi (6th)
UTIL x3
SP x4
RP x2
P x2
BENCH x18

Trading across sports IS allowed.

Keepers will be based upon each overall season. Each team will have 75 keeper slots to spread out among all of their 3 teams. Rosters must still be cut down to the league maximum by the start of each season, which is outlined in more detail below. This wrinkle will allow for more flexibility for owners.

Thoughts on my football team so far?

I know right? I just made one spreadsheet with each sports rankings of mine and draft based off round value of rankings pretty much. I tend to think NBA might be more valuable players because less players on rosters and then NFL, then MLB. It is a challenge for EVERYONE lol.

There are still some good QB's on the board. Winston, Dak, Stafford, Carr. Thinking of going Carr next to be honest.

That's crazy. I couldn't do it since I can't stand baseball and only follow college hoops, but it's a sweet idea.

I feel like with some work you could make a VBD (value based drafting) system for this, where relative values between players in one position are comparable between sports.

Yeah i agree. It's a slow draft too, 90 rounds. 4 hours per pick so I could work on that lol

3 Sport Dynasty League Rulebook

$20 per sport. 12 teams. Overall pool money will be $720. Money will be kept in League Safe. Must pay for the first two seasons ($120 total) at initial drafting time. Each year will be paid for one year in advance. This will make the process of replacing owners easier.

Payout Structure:
Overall League Champion: 50% of overall pool, $360.
1st Place of each sport: $70
2nd Place of each sport: $30
3rd Place of each sport: $20

League will be hosted on Fantrax as well as everything (trades, draft picks, etc.) being recorded in this google docs folder. GroupMe will be used to communicate between league members, as well as host the drafts.

Any rule changes after the first season must be brought up in the GroupMe chat. There will be a vote held as long as there's enough interest.
If a rule gets 6 votes or less out of 12 it will be tabled until the following offseason.
If a rule gets at least 7 out of 12 votes it will be implemented in 2 seasons
If a rule gets at least 9 out of 12 votes it will be implemented the following season
If a rule gets 12 out of 12 votes it will be implemented immediately

Initial Draft:
The initial draft will be a snake draft combining all players from the three sports: baseball, football, and basketball. Every player is eligible, including rookies for the initial draft. The draft will begin on June 24th at 12 PM EST. The draft will be held through a GroupMe chat and the commissioner will update on google docs as available. The draft will be 90 rounds. Total roster spots are 93 for all 3 sports. The final 3 spots may be filled by using FAAB. This will allow for flexibility of trading picks within the draft.
The team that picks is in charge of notifying the next team that they are on the clock. As soon as that message is sent the 4 hour clock will begin. The clock will run only from noon (12 PM) eastern to midnight (12 AM) eastern. If a team misses a pick, they will be able to jump in at any time. If a team misses more than 3 picks the process to find a new owner will begin.
A random draft order will be chosen by draftordergenerator.com, based upon that order each team will be able to choose their draft position (1st - 12th overall).

Trading across sports will not only be allowed, but encouraged!

Keepers will be based upon each overall season. Each team will have 75 keeper slots to spread out among all of their 3 teams. Rosters must still be cut down to the league maximum by the start of each season, which is outlined in more detail below. This wrinkle will allow for more flexibility for owners.

Overall League Championship:
The Overall Fantasy League Championship will be determined using a point system.

The order of finish in each league during the regular season will determine the overall champion as follows:

12th Place: 1 point
11th Place: 2 points
10th Place: 3 points
9th Place: 4 points
8th Place: 5 points
7th Place: 6 points
6th Place: 7 points
5th Place: 8 points
4th Place: 9 points
3rd Place: 10 points
2nd Place: 11 points
1st Place: 12 points

The reason for using regular season finish is that generally demonstrates the superior team compared to playoff finish. In this way the payouts will reward both the playoff champion, as well as the regular season high finisher. Tie breaks for regular season standings will be total points scored, head to head record, then playoff finish.

The total number of points will determine the winner.

First Tie Break: Total Points Scored During the Regular Season For All Three Sports Combined
Second Tie Break: (# of Championships Won)
Third Tie Break: (# of 2nd Place Finishes)
Fourth Tie Break: (Finish in Baseball Season...because it is last)

The Overall Fantasy League Championship season will consist of:
2018 Football
2018-19 Basketball
2019 Baseball

Year 2 The Overall Fantasy League Championship will consist of:
2019 Football
2019-20 Basketball
2020 Baseball

Any owner who leaves the league forfeits their right to any points accrued in the overall championship.

NFL:
Schedules will be randomly generated by Fantrax. Teams will play each other at least one time and playoffs will begin Week 14 with 6 teams making the playoffs. The championship game will be held Week 16.
Rosters: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Flex, Superflex, 20 Bench Spots, 2 IR.

Trade deadline will begin following the end of Monday Night Football of Week 10. Trading will be opened back up following the playoffs.
FAAB will be used for all free agent and waiver claims. A budget of $250 per sport will be given each season.
Players who are not going to be kept must be cut from your team by July 15th at 12 PM EST. The remaining players on your roster will be counted against the 75 overall keeper slots that are available for the current season.
Following each season an 8 round slow draft will be held.
The draft order will be fixed and will be based upon the previous sport’s seasons standings.
Newly drafted rookies, veterans that were cut, or any other players in the free agent pool will be eligible for this draft as well.
Rosters must then be cut down to the maximum of 30 players (plus 2 IR slots) by the end of the preseason.

NBA:

Scoring:
Hitters: 1 point per 1B, 2 points per 2B, 3 points per 3B, 4 points per HR, 1 point per RBI, 1 point per Run Scored, 2.5 points per SB, 1 point per BB, 1 point per Total Base, -.5 point per K, 1 point per HBP

It's super challenging so far. I need to start drafting some baseball players lol I feel Football and Basketball are more valuable players though since we have less rostered. I don't know we will see how it looks when we are done.
