Enough for Rodgers?

Postby keebs3 » Fri Jun 01, 2018 11:30 pm

There is an owner in my league for team 2 (2QB) and his only QB's are Rodgers and Foles. When Wentz comes back he won't even be able to start a 2nd QB- not to mention bye weeks or if Rodgers gets hurt. Waivers are a wasteland for QB's, he has to trade if he wants to compete this year.

Would it be crazy for me to offer Trubisky + Tyrod + Mayfield for Rodgers? It's a ton of young depth but it would leave me with Wilson, Wentz and Rodgers.

I'm a strong contender now and the Rodgers owner is not quite in rebuild but needs some work for sure.

He's in a bad spot so he might take it, but I think you need to add a first. If you can make it happen, do so. Having those three QBs in a SF would be crazy.

I don't see a reason to make this deal for you. You have two top 5 qb's. Rodgers just adds to a streaming situation. Then you have one of your three studs on the bench every week. Why not try to add a starter elsewhere or even get future picks.

^This 100%.

You want three QBs in SF, and better your top 2, the better your third needs to be.

But this is also Best Ball, so I automatically start the top two.. does that change your thoughts?

i like the idea of moving three QBs to pick up a top RB/WR in a 2QB
Too many teams and lineup changes to keep track of them all.

I’d keep those players and go after more depth elsewhere. Being best ball, I’d be looking to add another stud RB or WR. Then your team would be a solid, high-end contender. You don’t need Rodgers. Use Mayfield, Trubisky and/or Tyrod to get more depth

I would probably be OK with dealing Trubisky, but I'm not sure my league mates give him the proper value. My single offer for him so far is Dion Lewis and a 2019 4th.
I feel pretty good with my depth at WR- Evans, MT, Diggs with Godwin and a few other guys that could breakout. What RB would be appropriate for Trubisky?
The owner who is WR desperate has Kerryon Johnson, Penny, and Lamar Miller. He wouldn't trade Penny, and I'm not super hot on the other two. His only WR over real value is NUK. I suppose I could offer Diggs or Godwin + Trubisky for him and just go all in at WR.

Perhaps a new thread is in order...
