Re: Rosen or Darnold?
I would never draft a QB playing for the Jets.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
Re: Rosen or Darnold?
That's kinda how I feel too...

Re: Rosen or Darnold?
I know on paper it seemed like Darnold was a real agile guy in the pocket but it seems like Rosen is as "good" of an athlete as Darnold...albeit a little bit slower.

https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/sam-darnold/
I've had these two as equal this entire time, and he's what I'm uncertain of:
- Both AZ + NYJ had awful OLines in 2017, but both did sign some new guys.
- USC QBs just haven't been successful, it's weird to blame the system but USC likes to keep "in-house" coaches..guys who have come from another's tree.
- From a stat perspective, Darnold has the edge on Rosen but you're trusting New York and their new OC, whom I know nothing about.
- Rosen has had his fair share of injuries, especially the 2 concussions...will that become a problem? Mike McCoy is his OC, whose track record isn't great with QB development.
My head tells me that Rosen is the "safer" pick but my gut feels like Darnold may have a shot in NY.

Re: Rosen or Darnold?
I don't know how anyone could pick darnold over rosen, given the team and talent they each possess
Re: Rosen or Darnold?
Small thing to consider
Over the past two seasons, Darnold had 332 rushing yards and 7 rushing TDS while Rosen has NEGATIVE 169 and 4 TDS rushing.
I’m not saying that the same will happen in the NFL, but if it did, it works out to something like 34 points per season (2-something points per game).

Re: Rosen or Darnold?
An even bigger thing to consider: The NCAA counts sacks as negative rushing yardage for a QB, whereas the NFL does not. So that "negative 169" is actually pretty much all from sacks.Snake wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 7:20 pm Small thing to consider

Re: Rosen or Darnold?
They're my top 2 QBs in this class, but I prefer Rosen slightly.
