Who to take at 1.03?

Postby andyz » Sun Apr 29, 2018 5:48 pm

I'm set at RB (Hunt and Zeke) and in my superflex league I need a QB. I'm rolling with Tyrod and Eli so desperate for an upgrade. I think Rosen could start a lot sooner so is he the bette pick here? Or since I have Tyrod anyway, I can grab Baker who might be better longer term but may not start right away?

Rosen will have Fitz, DJ, others right away. Playing with a chip on his shoulder, close to home, etc.

Baker has that Manziel risk.

Thanks

I'd take Mayfield (assuming Barkley and Guice are off the board). He'll get plenty of opportunities to succeed and has a lot of weapons around him.

I'd also take Baker at 1.03.

I just can't trust a qb in Cleveland. I know he will be put in Sooner than later, but If you go Rosen and somehow Tyrod holds the job for a bit you have and extra starter. Where if you draft Mayfield you still have to play a qb from Cleveland... lol

No love for Darnold?
I think he is the best long-term play.
May have to wait a year though.

I would be surprised if Baker was not a top two pick.

Darnold or Rosen.

Rookie QB ADP is very league-dependent though. All of my drafts, the top 3 QBs have been taken by 1.06 or 1.07.

100% agree with this I got rosen at 1.11 and realized that this is not normal.

I agree with some of the others that Baker might be gone at 1.03. In the 20 superflex/2QB mock drafts I've been looking at this morning from a few websites, he went 1.02 in 7 out of the 20. Trading down a few spots and picking up a different QB would be tempting, but you won't have the same guarantee that another rookie will start if Tyrod gets benched.

WR: G Wilson, Higgins, Adams, Cooper, D Johnson, J Williams, Tolbert, Gage, Patrick, Gray
TE: Goedert, Likely
