Guice vs. QBs
Guice vs. QBs
For any 1.02 - 1.04 owners out there for this upcoming draft, what makes you lean taking Guice over the QBs and vice versa?

Re: Guice vs. QBs
I lean Guice and its not close, I think its easy nowadays to swap a starting RB1 into a starting QB... but it depends on the league you are in... in my league I think its pretty easy to get a QB like mariota for a nice starting RB who produces...
If you are in a rebuild I would consider drafting your Nr. 1 QB

Re: Guice vs. QBs
In a 2QB/Superflex, 1.01 and 1.02 don't change : Barkley and Guice
Starting to 1.03-1.04, i think Rosen, Mayfield can be in the conversation in front of Michel, Chubb and Penny. A preference for Michel 1.03 and Mayfield 1.04. Rosen 1.05, Penny 1.06 and Chubb 1.07 (i'm really starting to slide him)
Darnold, Sutton, Moore, Ridley following in no particurar order.

Re: Guice vs. QBs
I could see a case of taking a guy you really like above Guice.
I personally have one QB at 1.02 (not going to say who in the off chance he slides to me in my Superflex league) and then goes to Guice, then a couple other QBs before the other RBs in this class.
I have been a big believer in investing in a QB in Superflex; mainly because for some reason, people continually let them slide in rookie drafts and then will pay more than what they could have drafted them at when they break out.

Re: Guice vs. QBs
I agree that guice is locked in at 1.02. If you need QB(s) thatbadly just move down to 1.05 and try for a future first.
Re: Guice vs. QBs
Thanks for the responses.
At some point, does league size change it for you?
For me, I think it would be this:
10 team: Guice
12 team: Guice
14 team: team need?
16 team: QB

Re: Guice vs. QBs
You need to know the owners in your leagues,
I am in a superflex leagues where QBs will go 1.02-1.04, as the players with the 2nd to 4th picks are all desperate for QBs. I have the 5th and have a good chance that Guice or the no.2 RB will fall to me.
Depth will impact things, but it is down to the specifics of the league. What are your needs, and what are the needs of the players picking 1.02 etc.

Re: Guice vs. QBs
Guice is locked in for me at 2. I'd probably start looking QB in SF at the 1.03 (definitely QB at 1.04)
My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):
Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL

Re: Guice vs. QBs
I'd prefer Darnold and Rosen over Guice by a small amount, assuming nothing crazy happens on Thursday that kills their values. I like Guice, but if a QB hits in a 2QB/SF league, their value will skyrocket much more than a RB's and could even be worth more than Barkley this time next year.
Re: Guice vs. QBs
Yeah, I'm torn, I currently own the 1.03 + 1.06 and have no idea of what to do.
This league isn't in my sig, but I'm incredibly weak at RB (Mixon + Tevin are my building blocks) but I also only have Rivers, Goff and Trubisky as QBs.
Based on "need", Chubb, Michel or Guice have been what people have been responding to me with but over our 4 years, only 1 QB has gone in the 1.01-1.04 range, Winston in 2015. Everyone else is 1.06-1.10 or later. I've honestly contemplated going after 2 QBs with my picks, and causing a panic.

Re: Guice vs. QBs
You're in a solid position with those three QBs you already have. If you want to go the tanking route, draft two QBs and move one or two mid-to-late season to balance out your team for 2019. Preferably, move them for the stud players that get injured (get a haul) and keep the tank train going.Servo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:59 am Yeah, I'm torn, I currently own the 1.03 + 1.06 and have no idea of what to do.

If you feel your team is in a position to win, I'd consider grabbing your top RB at #3. But, if you can get 2 of the top 3 QBs with picks 1.03 and 1.06, I think it can set your team up very well for the future.

Re: Guice vs. QBs
i think you nailed it, based on team make up and league size this is my approach at 1.02-1.04 really... rb in 10 rb in 12 team need/possibly lean qb in 14 and 16 team (really lean qb in 16 team)
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram
2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)
team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,
1,2,3,3,5
team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson
Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp
