QB Rankings

Postby Titans95 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 9:00 pm

Hey Guys I'm OTC in a 12tm Superflex Startup with 5point TD's with Pick 1.09 and I'm to be the first person to take a QB off the board. Since I have all the QB options what is everyone's Rankings? Part of me is leaning the Aaron Rodgers/Wilson Side but part of me wants to take Wentz here and shoot for upside with Watson in the second, that way I'd be set at QB for the next 10-15 years. I like the thought of having my Qbs set for pretty much a decade to start building a team around. Should I shoot for upside like that with my 1st two picks or just get the top QB in rodgers? I feel really confident in Wentz being a producer for years to come but with WAtson he could very well end up as RG3. What do you all think?

I'd go Wentz here. It gives you more options. Win now and later.

Seahawks are in rebuild. Russ doesn't have anybody but Baldwin and a shirty o-line.
Rodgers is like 10 years older.

Wentz is my startup 1.01. They're both great. It just depends if you want the guy who seems like he has 7+ years in front of him, or the guaranteed stud for 3+ years.

IMO, (pick your order) Rodgers, Wilson, and Wentz are the only QBs in the conversation at this point.

For me, one year of incredible Wentz production isn't enough to convince me. Rodgers and Wilson have shown that they can put up elite numbers with a lesser cast around them; Wentz hasn't. Not ready to buy Wentz above those guys.

So, that leaves Rodgers and Wilson. I'd take Rodgers here but couldn't argue too much if you went with Wilson.

As for Watson, see my Wentz comments. Then add the uncertainty if Watson is more like RGIII or Netwon. I'd be hesitant picking him that early.

All that being said, my vote is that your thinking -- drafting two QBs with your first two picks -- is spot on. No exaggeration: if a third QB in that young/reliable/upside mold where there in the third round (Winston, Carr, Prescott, etc.), then I'd grab one there, too.

Some really love Watson, but I agree. It's Rodgers for me.

Go with the guy you would enjoy watching play the most. You can't really make a wrong choice, for me it's between Wentz and Rodgers. I would take Wentz, and it's mainly only because I like watching him play more. Also how has no one taken a QB yet?

For me, this is the correct line of thinking. If Luck were healthy, he'd be in the discussion as well over Wentz and Watson easily. You'd think Rodgers could have another 4-5 years in the league which ultimately could be the same for Wentz or Watson or any young QB in a worst-case scenario.

One thing I've wondered ever since Foles won the SB is if Wentz will be able to live up to the fans/city's expectation?

In my recent 2Qb startup Wentz went 1.02 and Watson went 1.07. They were the first two QBs selected. If you can land both QBs that would be amazing.
