I agree with the top 4 guys on your board but then it ends abrupt

for example:
winston far too high for me
mariota far too low
stafford too low
watson too low
rookies too high (but I'm actually fine with that)

Just curious why everyone has cam ranked so low? Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of his, but he was a top 5 QB last year and that is two top 5 seasons in the past 3, no way he should be ranked in the 20s, period.

It’s possible people are valuing based on future outlook, not past production, as only one of those things matters from here on out. I don’t disagree that past is a great indicator of future, but Newton’s style and skill set do leave him vulnerable to sharper declines. Are the ranking correct? Who knows. However one shouldn’t use absolutes to reference future performance, and one certainly shouldn’t tell people they are wrong without putting their own out there for challenge. Everyone has different rankings, that’s what makes it fun.

I hear ya, and I can understand why people would rank cam much lower, and I also understand that people just love the potential upside of what could be, thus we rank rookies high or even guys who have had one good year, ala Wentz very high. We look at his age, and think he could be dominate for the next 15 years and don't want to miss out on that.

Thanks for sharing! I personally prefer tiered rankings like that than numbered rankings.

Both finished in the top 10 for QBs last year also (in most fantasy scoring formats at least).

Well son of a... ...thats what I get for just clicking on posts under the new posts topic and not reading where they are placed. Disregard my mistake. I guess you would still be pretty set with Rivers and Ben anyways, but, certainly harder to replace from year to year.

Yes, Rivers is 36 years old and you don't know when he'll hang it up but he's been a QB1 for 5 years now and possibly more (not that I paid attention back then).

Having him ranked nearly dead last doesn't seem right to me.

Nearly dead last of the ones actually ranked there. Note that a bunch of the "meh" guys aren't even listed and would then end up in a lower tier: Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco, Tyrod Taylor, Sam Bradford, Blake Bortles, Case Keenum, etc.
