As we know, in SF & 2 QB leagues, the backup QB can take on more importance. Whether its a Case Keenum taking over for Bradford, or a Landry Jones filling in for Big Ben, or Foles ... what backups are you liking, if only for spot starts & emergency depth? Obviously this will change post NFL draft ... so we can revisit in 2 months.

Re: Best QB Backups
I think Bridgewater has a good chance at taking the job from McCown. But the rookie QB they pull the trigger on may as well.
I don’t trust the Colts with their news on Luck, so I’d be holding on to Brissett.
And, of course, Foles. Put in the right spot, he could excel. The Eagles utilized his strengths, and won a SB by doing so.
I’d then be looking at injury prone QBs such as Big Ben. I’d want to hold their backups as well.

Re: Best QB Backups
If we are basing on your list at the moment, I think Glennon would be an understated guy I'd be looking at due to Bradford's health issues over the years. Brissett and Foles are at the top of the list as far as value imo
Re: Best QB Backups
Heh looks like Seattle is now in the market for a backup as well

Re: Best QB Backups
As far as talent is concerned?
- Bridgewater
- Foles
- Brissett
- Maybe, maybe McCarron
Not a lot else out there other than keeping tabs on QBs who have been injured often: McCown, Bradford, etc.

Re: Best QB Backups
I think if a team is in desperate need of depth, Osweiler might be a good add, if the Dolphins dont draft a QB - just because Tannehill might have the same long term health concers like Bradford.

Re: Best QB Backups
I still think Foles gets moved. I get that Wentz's status can't be taken for granted, but I'd think Foles top value is right now. Not to mention, that's got to suck to be Super Bowl MVP only to be relegated to the bench your next game. Also, if Wentz comes back a they lose a few in a row (Vikes up first on the schedule), does the fan base turn on him knowing the guy that won them their first Super Bowl ever is riding the pine?
Otherwise, Bridgewater could secure the starting role. Glennon isn't bad as mentioned considering Bradford's health issues. Taysom Hill if you get special teams tackle points...

Re: Best QB Backups
Lynch (Keenum is not Rodgers)
Glennon(cause of Bradford cristal health)
Brissett (Injuries "Suck for Luck" )
Peterman (AJ McCarron...)
Those 4 has a good chance to have some starts this year.

Re: Best QB Backups
wow, this is a brutal list pre-draft. The only ones I'd consider rostering are Teddy, Foles, Kessler, Kizer and maybe Lynch if it's deep enough. Even if Mike Glennon gets starts I'd rather try to find 12ppr points from a bench guy in my SF.
Re: Best QB Backups
Don't think any one of us would blame you!
Hopefully this list looks more promising post draft.
